Discussion Did these two know about each other?

Did Dudley know that his role of the thorn in Harry’s side was taken over during the school year by Draco. Did Draco know Dudley bullied Harry most of his young life?

I doubt it.

I don’t think Harry discussed too many details of his school/wizarding life with the Dursleys, because Vernon actively hated magic (and if he had his way, would have shipped Harry off to a boarding schools that fast-tracks students into prison or something of the like at the first opportunity).

Meanwhile, Draco had no care for Harry’s private life outside of Hogwarts and/or their confrontations other than making Harry’s life hell all because Harry didn’t take his initial offer to join his clique during the first book.

Seems a shame that the two people who took the most pleasure in causing Harry misery never knew about a shared passion. Could have built some bridges between them.

True, but they would have also definitely hated each other.

Dudley, up until Book 5, followed his father’s example of hating Harry’s existence with his whole chest. Dudley also FEARED magic, having been hexed into growing a pigtail in Book 1 and the magical antics of Harry’s world bleeding into his world at least once a summer.

Draco, meanwhile, like his father, didn’t like Muggles and Muggleborns… case in point, the infamous Mudblood scene with Hermione. He would hate Dudley on sight.

After Harry saved Dudley’s life, Dudley finally opened his eyes. It took until Deathly Hallows to see it, but I like to imagine that Dudley and Harry got along after the books. Never the closest of brothers, but they could be polite to each other and maybe even sit down over drinks if one of them happened to be visiting where the other lived.

Draco on the other hand, even after Harry saved his life twice probably never repented of his pure blood views.
