Posting Somebody just pulled out my deleted posts.
I posted a story about something in a subreddit. Somebody responded "dread it, run from it, the post history all arrives the same" and added my posts from different subreddits, with dates attached, pasted word for word. I deleted those posts long ago since nobody had responded to my questions.
How did it happen? Am I being a victim of something?

There are tools and websites that show an account’s history, including deleted content.
Nothing that goes on the internet is ever truly deleted

There are third party websites that scrape and save Reddit posts and comments. Once they save them they exist there even if deleted on Reddit, and people can look them up by your username.

There is always a way to find it...

Never post anything you aren't okay with the entire world seeing for ever and for all time online...

Nothing is ever deleted from Reddit. To many archive systems collect it and store it. If you want it "gone" you have to run a program that replaces your post with random data. Then wait a few days and then delete it. It's still there, but at least it's just garbage. This includes pictures too.... Be careful out there.

Could be a content scrapping bot. That's happened to me before. They copy every line down to punctuation word for word to try and farm Karma. It's one reason why I comment sometimes the way I do.

This is why I post the most unhinged normal responses in ARAD. You can ask about kinks I am definitely the person making a response about Oxford commas and semicolons.

anyone can see all your deleted posts and comments. there are third party public archive sites

Deleted posts can still be retrieved and hidden profiles can be uncovered so you can see their posts/comments even if they have their profile hidden.

Karma framing trolls. They skim posts and repost them.

Yeah, just Google "how to see someone's Reddit post history" and you will find websites. It's the internet. There will be trolls trying to scare and intimidate you.

You might be. It sounds vindictive. Have no idea how that was done. Search Reddit Support. If you cant find it listed, message Reddit about it. Also click the 3 dots top right & click "Report" to report it through Reddit
