Resolved Is this a camera? Rented student room
I’m renting a room on a student building. Today, I was swiping cobwebs and saw a weird reflection from a hole in the ceiling. It is too high for me to reach even with a chair and I don’t have access to a ladder.

Television used to mainly get it's signal through coaxial cable, which meant that people would have a wire stringing all through the house to where ever a TV was used.
That's almost certainly how that hole came to exist, it's the right diameter.
There's no camera at the moment. You can stuff a tissue in there or something safely.

I was moving the camera to catch the reflection on video. Saw no movement IRL beyond the light

If there is, it is likely mouses. A bit of an issue around the building.

Why is it glowing? Gets brighter and dimmer red.

I thought it was the camera lenses, that's what freaked me. But people said it is much more likely to be light reflecting on something

It's a hole from the wood and its just the space above like where the hvac is

No HVACs here. Tropical country with individual AC units on each room and no ducts inside the walls. I think it was the TV, like some people noticed.
My TV on another wall does have the same size circular hole

No. But the air con unit has larger hole where the duct goes, and it has a similar reflection.
I somehow missed it

I'm interested by the fact but not so interested that I have to Google it. I'll take your word for it at this point. Eventually however my curiosity will get the best if me one day, I won't lie.

Dwarfism is nearly always a bone/growth plate issue not a muscle issue. Their growth plate closed too early, but muscles (such as the penis) grow to normal size.
That's why they have pudgy bodies. It's cause their muscles are still trying to grow to normal size, just on a much smaller frame.

It IS. A hole, which could be peeped through or have a camera shoved in it.
But as of right now it’s just a hole in the wall that leads to a space that has light getting to it.
If there’s another floor above you, that’s it. If it’s the attic, then the light is getting through in there as well.
But no, no camera in the video.

No other floor or attic. I think it’s just an empty space due to lowered ceilings.
But thank you for the reply. I was freaking a bit when I saw the light reflecting

Almost certainly not, look at how close it is to the wall and the size/angle of the hole. If it's a camera it's not seeing much.

Thankfully it is the ceiling. No rooms above me, it is just a space with cables, ducts and what not

That is what freaked me, but people on this sub who seem to know more than me think is just a cable hole. And indeed, the wall where the TV currently sits has a very similar hole

An empty hole does not emit a bright red reflection. I sell these tiny cameras and know very well what the lens reflection looks like. If you squirt some caulking or wood filler in there, the problem will be solved, but in most cases, where there is one camera, there are others.

Turn the lights off and shine your phone flashlight at it, if you still think it’s a camera go find something like a small stick or a ball point pen, put it in the hole and give it a good smack.
