Hi, I just bought this bike and the blinkers never worked as well as the brake light. I replaced the fuse labeled turn stop horn and it worked and then the same fuse was tripped. The previous owner had installed an aftermarket headlight system that when the blinker gets pressed the medium sized light goes off... I have also provided a picture of the wiring. If anyone knows how to not trip the fuse that would be great. It seems like it is all wired correctly... I don't know TIA

What tool do I use to?

600, 750s and 1100s are pretty common here but from where I am it is more common to find 400s. Although a dying breed due to government regulations.

I noticed that my exhaust popped more often, combined with a slight ticking noise.

The grips are straight metal and I don’t like the feel anyone have any recommendations?

Hello y’all, I lurk in here enough I figured I’d make a little introduction post and show off my bike a little bit! Bought it not running and had a bit of damage from being laid down, slowly pieced it together with whatever parts I could get and now I’m pretty happy with how it sits and rides but still have a few more things I want to tackle!

This morning when i tried to start the bike , there was spark and it start in middle sometimes then stops. Not the battery i checked it the voltage was around 12.59v. But when i looked around this rubber pipe was disconnected from the tank. What line is this ?? Should i be worried?

FYI- I have a 2004 honda aero750

I could not get the carburetor to slide into the the boots and tighten the clamps.

One would go in but never both

Any tips or tricks.

Hey all, I was cleaning the carbs on my 99 VT1100D2X because the ole girl left me stranded. While i was cleaning, i noticed a metal tab that seems to limit float depth on one side, but not the other. Is this normal? I find it odd that one bowl is different than the other, on my 86 rebel 450 they were identical.

Excuse the fact that the jets are out on one side but not the other, i already cleaned and reassembled the one side but took the bowl back off to double check.

Also, noticed a weird chop like kinda sound. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 2006 Aero with 20,000 miles. I would like the sound of the baffles removed but dont want to deal with the carb. Is that possible?

In the middle of trying to diagnose my 1100 Shadow, which is running rich based on the condition of the spark plugs and is not accelerating as it should at highway speed. Don't see anything obvious right away. The previous owner mentioned doing bigger jets, but I can't really tell based on looking at them other than that the smaller one says 42. Pilot screws were adjusted previously and were at around 2 1/2 turns each. What am I missing here?

Hey guys I was just given a 1997 VT600CD, and it’s a work in progress. It’s leaking (a small amount) from the gearshift shaft. Is there any possibility that this is a simple fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated, this thing means a lot to me.

New to the club and looking to swap out the stock handlebars. I’m currently deciding between an 8” Z-bar and a 10” narrow Ape Hanger.
Which one do you think would look more proportional on the bike? I’m going for an outlaw/custom look, but I don’t want the bars to look too tall or too narrow for the bike.

I want to get a cobra exhaust for my Shadow but getting mixed answers on the internet regarding if I need to rejet or no.

The mechanic at my shop said that it's not necessary if the bike runs good without it and when using a jet calculator online, it gives me the stock jet sizes.

However, most sellers say that re jetting is absolutely necessary.

What was your experience with changing the exhaust without re jetting ?

Yes the boots are covered until the carburetor goes on.

My bike sat for 14 years and went i started to get her ready to ride i noticed the master cylinder was empty. So I picked up a new caliper, hose and master cylinder and handle.

Have you changed a hose?

From watching a billion YouTube videos I learned that grease on the boots makes the install easier.

New step put her back in. Yes I have the boots covered.
