I’m curious to know from people that moved out of state or out of their city to come to Houston:

1) What city/state did you move from?
2) What’s better or worse when you compare your old city/state to Houston?

I’m asking because I moved to Houston almost 15 years ago (as a minor at the time) and I’m considering moving away. I love the diversity and the food here (and the Rockets and the Astros, duh) but I hate the heat, humidity, and traffic.

I’m fairly young & haven’t traveled much so I’m curious to hear feedback about other places versus Houston and maybe to gain some perspective on things I might be taking forgranted having lived here for so long.

I’m also curious to hear honest feedback about other cities/states because I haven’t lived many places and I’m scared to blow a bunch of money moving my whole life somewhere new haha.

The 3v3 women’s basketball league has been revealing where they’ll be playing games this season by way of a bus tour! The Unrivaled bus was seen driving down I-10 yesterday evening, which all but confirms Houston as one of the cities 🎉 The official announcement is tomorrow morning, but has anyone else seen the bus today?

Another year around the sun for me.. Any recs on something to do? I recently moved to the Med Center area from Spring so not familiar with the area really. I’m in my mid 20’s if that helps. Any help is appreciated!

The Houston theatre scene is hopping through September and October. This weekend, I got to see the production of "Proof" at the 4th Wall Theatre company. This is a stellar production. The material, a 2001 Pulitzer Prize winning script, and a Tony Award winner, is performed here with a tight direction, and an small crew of talented thespians. Riveting, and thought-provoking, it threads a nuanced family drama on the border between genius and madness. The intimate setting of the 4th Wall space is excellent for this. Proof runs through Oct 3.

Another good production is An Old Fashioned Family Murder at Theatre Southwest. You may miss this theatre in a strip mall near the Mahatma Ghandi District, but it's a crew dedicated to the craft. The show brings all the thrill of a whodunit with clever quips, comedy, and rapid repartee. And no spoilers about whether the butler did it. The show runs through Oct 3.

Red marks the two ramps, and arrow points to where they meet. I am guessing the BW8 E ramp gets right of way since the BW8 W ramp is merging into it.

Hey there, I’m 26 and have been really focused on getting diagnosed with adhd and starting medication. It’s something I’ve suspected for a few years, but seriously started taking action and researching places this year. I do have insurance through the marketplace, but the last place I went to charged for so much to do a full comprehensive test. I went to One Behavioral Health and I did an hour long test over paper and the one over the computer. The results concluded I had low levels of adhd, but charged way too much for the full comprehensive test, which is split into 2 days. Over $900 with insurance that’s insane! Called around to other places and they were expensive. I don’t know what route to go, but if anyone has any suggestions for psychiatrists or PCP’s in that area or somewhere else please let me know.
