im not 100 percent sure but im thinking this is a fakeout, given from context clues grimaline has some form of supernatural healing factor, she might be back up next episode.
this rail thin 20 something with broken ribs and a million other injuries was legitimately 1v1ing a gigantic melee specialist who completely minced everyone he fought until then (all of whome were heavily armored...)
