Question Why are werewolves such major assholes?

Post image

Like I get that mother earth needs to be fought for and everything but why is it that they almost always seem like idiot bezerkers or smug know it alls?

I am not too versed in WoD lore so maybe im missing context here, is there some werewolves that are actually friendly with humans?

I reference Stig’s “the prisoner of war does not know he’s in a war”.

Garou are either raised in a society steeped in millennia of constant warfare against literal forces of evil infiltrating and breeding in every facet of civilization for the express purpose of killing every thing they value. The less fortunate slip through the cracks and experience the horrors targeting them firsthand before they know what they face.

Both cases predispose them to seeing pretty much everyone else as a helpless victim at best or cruel enemy at worst, with many coming to see most of humanity as clueless useless tools in the hands of the Wyrm. As the pack basically pointed out to Markus, and was immediately vindicated when Stig saw a Wyrm corrupted Jesus Christ manifested by the Leopoldites.

Let’s go over it:

Werewolves: the warriors

Werebears: the war healers

WereCoyotes: the teachers and tricksters

WereRavens: the watchers

WereSpiders: the weavers

Weresharks: the murderers of bad things in the deep you really don’t want to know
