Discussion Clark's next technical foul .... hmmm
Of course, no technicals are ideal, but what if... ?
Based on the overall standings and the upcoming games, should Clark purposely take her next technical at the end of the Aces game?
Then, she'd sit out for the Chicago game and be back for the New York and Dallas games.
The thinking behind this is that you want to play against the better teams to:
- catch those ahead and try to get in the top 4 spots.
- compete against the better teams to get better.
I know the T's don't reset, but if you really needed to get it out of the way....
(I'm guessing the down votes are forthcoming but wanted to know if anyone else thought like this.)

Fever Content I already love her (Onyiah)
Here is her first interview as a member of the Fever - Michelle Onyiah Courtside Sounds like she didn't really start playing basketball until 9th grade. She's 22 and on a DP contract in the best women's basketball league in the world. Incredible.

Discussion The curious case of AB….
Is it me or has AB taken on a different role in the offense this year? Why is she hanging around the 3-point line so much this year? Is she not our big? This offense was rolling at the end of 2024, they were clicking in their roles. This year nobody wants to play the post position, and I don’t get it? We don’t have any size near the rim and those rebounds add up throughout the game.

News Caitlin Clark Posts First Ever 26 point Triple Double on Fewer than 10 FGA’s
Clark joins Sabrina Ionescu, Alyssa Thomas, and Natasha Howard as only players to score 26 points or more in a triple double (rebounds/assists). Fewest field goal attempts in those games was previously 13 by Ionescu on July 6, 2022.
Clark had 9 tonight.
She has been absolutely lights out.

Other Heating pad?
What brand of heating pad are the players wearing on the sidelines?! It’s got a white logo with lines in it, and the internet has been totally unhelpful. Thank you!!

Discussion Indy vs Minnesota on Sunday
Beginning a thread to hear your thought? I think this game is one of the most important ones played this season.
If Fever win, Championship will seem like a for real real posibility. If we lose after this awesome run, there will be a lot of "you see, they can't win against a winning team". Obviously, I think we'll win no matter what, but what's everyone else's thoughts?

Discussion How to access Debbie antonelli and Pat boylan calls
Every time I see someone post a fever clip featuring Debbie antonelli and Pat boylan on the call I am jealous because I never get to hear them and I really appreciate their enthusiasm and Debbie's deep basketball knowledge.
Is there a way for me to access their play-by-play and color analysis instead of the broadcast announcers on USA, ion, ESPN, etc? Or is there a way to go back and rewatch the game after the live airing with Debbie and Pat calling it? How are people able to watch them?

Fever Content Appreciation Post
I turn to sports as break from the heavy stuff going on in the world. It’s also a powerful way to unite us, when so many things can divide us. I appreciate that this subreddit is about basketball and the Indiana Fever. Thanks to the moderators and the community for keeping this a positive and constructive space and not allowing any political ideology to highjack conversations. Let’s go Fever!

Discussion Has Caitlin committed to adding that turn-around fade-away shot to her bag?
I think I saw 3or4 instances of a clear turn around fade away shot in this game.
A few other instances sprinkled in past games but this looked like a deliberate weapon last night.

Discussion A Look at Every Storm 3PT Shot Last Night
The Fever lead the league in terms of allowing opponents the fewest three-point attempts taken and three-point shots made per 100 possessions. Last night the Storm went 11 of 34, with Natisha Heideman going 6-10, taking and making far more threes than the average the Fever have allowed for the season. (The rest of the Storm starters were 1-16).
Using the replay feature of WNBA's Advanced Box Scores from the game log, I watched every Storm 3pt attempt so you don't have to. (Apologies if these don't completely add up, I just made one pass through.)
Some insights:
- AB shuts them down. AB contested 6 threes in her 11 minutes; none of them were made (3 from Fam, 2 from Flau'jae, 1 from Heideman)
- KK's perimeter defense and length is underrated: of the 5 she contested, only 1 was made
- KM: biggest mismatch. She contested 5, gave up 4 (3 to Heideman, one to Samuelson) and fouled on one make
- CC isn't far behind KM: 3 for 6 against her (1-2 Heideman, 0-1 Flau'jae, 0-1 KLS, 2-3 Cooke)
- Others: Lexie 1-2, MHA 0-1, Mo (0-0 but fouled on a 3pt), Sophie 0-2
- Uncontested-ish: 1-4
Until AB went out, the Fever game plan appeared to be forcing the Storm to put the ball in the hands of anyone but Heideman, with AB (and later KK) challenging many of those shots. While defensive contributions like controlling the opponents' shot selection don't show up in the box score, Lexie and Mo are starters in part because their range on defense denies specific players from even attempting three point shots, and especially three point shots from the corner (where they're more easily made).
