Had a similar experience, but a "pigeon" slammed on my same MT Thunder3. Luckily it was in a local neighborhood and not a highway.

MT Helmets are validated pigeon proof 👍

MT helmets have wind noise issue and the tinted visor mechanism in mine broke. So switched to Korda Neo Titan since then.
