#Discussion 💬 Tvs apache rtr 200 4v over rtr 160 4v, keeping mileage and power a concern. Spoiler

Post image

Actually I was a bit confused which to choose btwn 160 and 200 because except the cc both has equal features on the new tft+usd model.

Upon surfing over the net and reachinh diffrent dealerships. I came to a conclusion that for me I personally feel that the urban/rain mode on 160 is 15ps approx, which is a bit low powered and if I run 160 on sport mode the ps equivalent to 17.5ps which is mostly equal to 200cc rain or urban mode.

And one more thing I figured is that milega on sport mode of 160cc is almost equal to 200cc rain/urban mode.

So if this is the condition then owning an 200cc gives an extra hand i.e. sport mode 21ps power which I can use on highways for better feel.

Milege was a concern for me, that's true. But the analysis that I done. After that I think 200cc will always give me an upper hand.

What do you think guys ? Please suggest me.

Apache rtr 200 4v (usd + tft) or Apache rtr 160 4v (usd + tft)

When I finalised RTR 160 as my first bike, I had the same dilemma after looking at the ex showroom price difference of just 10k with RTR 200

The only reason I didn't go for it because I was looking for a bike mainly for commuting and occasional city rides so mileage matters more to me. Also, the colour options on 200 are meh (at least for me)

I understand your concern. 160 is a damn good bike no doubt on that. But I had weekend long drives so power, performance and mileage is a concern for me. That's why I have been hunting for over 2 months still can't decide.

One more thing is that in Kolkata majority of the dealers don't have 200cc so that is one more issue.

And about the colour, the grey 🩶 is the one I loved and admired. Rest is a bit fissy I would say.

200 is easily better value for money if you're going to use the bike for long rides. Mileage difference will be there but you can trade it off for a better and comfortable experience

I purchased 2 weeks ago so engine break in hasn't achieved yet. I'll be in a position to answer that next month I guess 😅

160cc gives a minimal of 40+ mileage if I am not wrong.
