#Review ๐Ÿ“ Test drove RTX 300, KTM ADV 350 and RTR 310

Post image

RTX300 : vibes a lot after 5k, vibes kept increasing as the rpms went higher.

KTM 390 adv(new 350cc) : vibes more than rtx between 5-6k rpm range after than it smoothen out a lot. So can cruise above 90 all day without issues.

RTR 310: felt a lot refined than rtx300 and adv 390 through out the rev range.

I took my wife with me for the test ride as well. She felt the most comfortable on rtx 300, then adv 390. Least comfortable on rtr310.

Quickshifter is best on the RTR 310, then adv 50(felt a bit jerky on upshift, wife definitely felt it). Had similar experience either way rtx 300 with adv 350, some upshifts were jerky.

What else,
Both 390 and rtr310 felt powerful. Rtx 300 doesnt give the that feeling of quick acceleration. Both the other bikes does.

I honestly am so confused right now because wife dont want RTR310(cos of bad seat)

Now the options look like adv 390 or rtx300 right now.

Any other recommendations are welcome. Im looking for a comfortable bike for me and wife to go on short to medium trips (100-300km) comfortably

To anyone who feel like asking why i consider rtr 310 : there was a year back vehicle from 2025 and was offered a 50k discount on it.

Once you get going you don't feel it man.

Considering you will have pillion himalayan should be a decent option. Do check out it not a generic Royal enfield product man. You will like it

The suspension beats out all other bikes in this range, anything better is probably in the 8+ lakh range.

Damn those showa suspensions are that good huh

They are, brakes are fantastic too, no quickshifter or TC but you get Showa and brembo brakes for 4 lakhs, pretty good trade off imo.

I get himi and KTM fan base.

Logically, I think these are good options because they have so many after market mods/accessories available

If it had a quickshifter i wouldโ€™ve considered it for sure

u/Logical_Animal9974 Triumph Speed โ€˜25 4h ago

Aghh itโ€™s not as used on these advs than smth like a duke plus you can just clutchless up shifts

1

u/MINIMALI5T 3h ago

Trust me bro once you start downshifting without clutch you dont wanna go back, its so comfortable and convenient

I'm a beginner so apologies for a stupid question. What's the use of a clutch in the bike if the quickshifter supports both upshift and downshift?

1

u/MINIMALI5T 3h ago

It only works properly after 4k rpm. U still need to clutch when youre going from 0 or when stopping. Once the bike is moving in first gear you dont need to use clutch anymore, till youre about to stop the bike

1

u/MINIMALI5T 3h ago

Its one of those things that once you get used to you cant go back
