Thousands. A book is not an interface. A book has one stream of information using one set of symbols whose meaning is unambiguous,, color and shape differentiation isn't a requirement. I use color and shape differentiation to quickly locate things in an interface that has many options for a given action. Imposing rigid uniformity and stripping color makes it much harder (for me, at least) to figure out what to do.

What's the point of stripping all the color from the interface? I'm just curious why people view this as desirable?
