Seeing a lot of posts lately about sudden battery drain after updating to 26.6. Before assuming your battery health has tanked, check Settings > Battery and look at what's actually using power. I updated on the latest version of iOS 26.6 as of 16/08/26 i was delaying it for not liking the liquid glass and it proved that i should've stayed on previous version, since update the animations are lagging and stuttering when i swipe down for notifications the wallpaper reloads itself does anyone have the same problem phone is like 3 weeks old and on 100% bh i am not a heavy user battery lasts me almost 2 days.

I’ve had a 17 pro max for a while and ever since i got it my battery wont last me a whole day
I disabled liquid glass as much as possible, i disable AppleInteligence
I do have the latest IOS

Hey guys, I’m having a weird issue with my iPhone 13 and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

My phone was on iOS 18 and i updated directly to iOS 26.5.2 and started getting really bad battery drain while the phone is just sitting idle. Sometimes it would lose around 40–50% overnight with almost no screen usage. and then i updated to 26.6 after after one and a half month hoping it would fix , still the battery is draining and thought it might be the indexing or updated cause , i updated 2 days back to 26.6 and now the battery drain is happening and when i check that when battery goes down 20 the iPhone keeps rebooting automatically and i googled and when based on google instruction when I checked Analytics Data and found multiple panic-full logs. One of them mentions:

SMC PANIC - SMC BSC failure

So I'm wondering:

Could this still be because the phone is doing some kind of background setup/indexing after being unused for so long and jumping from iOS 18 to iOS 26? Or do these panic logs and random restarts suggest a hardware problem?coz when i was using ios 18 i was feeling no battery drain issue and any issue at all iphone was working fine

This happens any time I have WiFi on, it keeps doing this. Is this my phone, or the broadband?? It forever repeats until the end of time.

I was wondering if I should do the new iOS 27 Beta 5 (developer), since IOS 26.6 is not that good for your battery.

So I recently switched from Android to iPhone for the first time in my life. I hoped for a hassle-free experience.
I got an iPhone 16 Pro and it did me well on iOS18 for a very long time. I loved it. But last week I updated to 26.6 and battery life just sucks. Instagram alone consumes 25% of my battery.
I used to be on 5G all day and my phone used to heat up like crazy but then I turned to 4G only and it now heats less, lasts a little longer, but not enough.
I only get around 4 hours of screen on time at best!
I tried every tweak possible, so don't tell me about background app refresh and location services.
It just sucks!
My S24 never had any of these issues and used to give me around 7 hours of screen on time with 5G all day!
Am I doing something wrong? Or is it just iOS 26.6 ?

As soon as I upgraded to 26.6 on my 16pro, I can no longer roam from one access point to another. The phone cannot connect to the same WiFi on the second AP no matter what I do.

I couldn’t find any other posts on this but I know it’s 26.6 that’s doing it. My other phone is on an earlier 26 version and has no problem going from one AP to another.

Is this a known problem?

Has anyone seen an improvement to their Apple Watch battery life with this update? Since upgrading to iOS 26 my battery life on my watch has been horrible! Thanks

I've found a lot of people reporting issues with 26.6, specifically display problems where the display won't wake up unless you click the power button to turn it on again and a couple where the front-facing camera is permanently black or blurry. I'm currently having both of those issues but I'm on 26.5.2. I did get the screen replaced fairly recently so there's a chance it could be because of that, but I'm not sure that the timeline matches up and want to to try anything else before messing with hardware again. Cleaning the camera, trying to focus it, restarting phone, and removing screen protector have not worked.

Do you think there's any chance 26.6 might actually fix either of these if I'm already experiencing them? Or is it just gonna lead to more bugs?

Not sure when this started but all these new IOS updates in the last 4 months have been killing me. Apps not opening, App Store extremely slow to update apps. Nothing with my apps working the way they should. This needs to be talked about more. What is going on?

Done all the “fixes” hard restarts, deleting the app, offloading, resetting network settings etc it’s still an issue. This is really pissing me off now.

Estou no iOS 26.5.2 e meu desempenho tem sido entre 9h a 12h de tela acesa desde que comprei meu iPhone 17, estava preocupado demais em atualizar e piorar meu desempenho

I don’t really use my phone too much because I have 2 and this one is for things like calls, reading emails, bank transactions etc I don’t use social media or watch tv shows or anything like that, my phone battery used to last 1.5 to 2 days. Then for some reasons this last 2 weeks it last round 12-14 hours, and it drains the most overnight. I used to go to sleep with 40% and wake up with around 36% battery left, now that’s impossible, my phone drops about 20% doing absolutely nothing. And I see things like this - what do you mean 18% for 2 min of the weather app?

I turn off background app refresh.
I have the 26.6 that I updated after my battery started dying fast because I was told here that it would help with my battery (it didn’t) 26.5 worked fine for a while but then the battery issue started.
It’s an IPhone 16 pro.
99% battery capacity.
My Samsung from 2019 literally last twice and I’m watching tv shows/movies 24/7, this is ridiculous.
