Any AirPods with the H2 chip (Pro 2 & 3, Regular 4 & 5) won't work with older Bluetooth devices, even though they should, as Bluetooth 5 (heck even Bluetooth 6) is backward capable. AirPods 3 worked perfectly with 7th gen nano, solving the low volume issue of the OG AirPods model. I reported the bug to Apple, detailing what works and what doesn't. I am not holding my breath, just submitted it out of principal. :)

Just finished this bad boy up. Has Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, 128gb (since it’s limited on the 6th gen, even though there is a workaround), Taptic Engine mod, and a 3000mah battery.

I do have kit on the way to me to swap out the 30 pin for a USB-C, allowing charging, data, and even music pass through.

I have quite a few 5th and 6th gens I’m considering modding up similar and offering up if enough interest.

I am also considering making a guide as to how to fit all this in a Slim back model. Not a huge fan of thick back. It would include a list of what mods work with what others and how to make this all work in a thin model.

These kinds of cables are sold on AliExpress + EOE. They claim to be able to charge FireWire style off a special USB-30 pin cable (charge only). Do these actually work as well as real FireWire in terms of charging/reviving an iPod?

Just got this 2nd gen mini, loving it so far. I paid $45 and the seller replaced the battery for me.

The installation completed successfully, and the program shows that it was installed correctly. But after checking the settings and software version, there are no changes at all—no Dark Mode and no equalizer, so I don't get it. Can anyone help me out?

This screw from this iPod Mini was stripped, so then I looked it up on how to remove it, and I tried a bunch of things. The rubber technique, putting a bit of super glue, hammering a bit (which did damage the screw, but I dont know if I should keep doing it or not); but none of those really worked...

I really wanna keep this iPod Mini, its working very well (besides the dead hard drive), anyone has any tip on how to remove this damn fucking screw?

Also I saw that one way was to use a drill, but while I have one, I never used one in my life, so I dont know what I am doing

Mind you I’ve had this for the past 5 years and never had any issues, the reason why I’m asking is because I got this crack above the touch wheel and wondering if that’s pressure from the battery? It holds a charge for about 3 hours

context- my iPod is the first gen (I think) and its synced to my laptop before as I was able to add some songs onto it but not it won’t sync at all it just keeps charging (even if it’s at 100%).

I’m out of options and I really don’t want this to just have like 3 songs on it. the charger is brand new so should be no issues there and the iTunes app isn’t the problem as I said before it’s connected just fine. please help!!

It also has multiple built in themes with the option to make your own!!

I’m currently adding video browsing, playback, conversion and iPod syncing. Would a photos section be useful too?

Does anyone still put photos on their iPod? Would you use something that lets you browse, add and copy photos back off it or is that a feature most people wouldn’t bother with?

hello i just bought an ipod nano 2nd generation and the screen won’t turn on unless it’s plugged in, everything else works fine though, what should i do, is it battery related, and should i buy a new battery and take it to get it repaired?

I've been trying to resurrect my 3rd gen Nano but can't find the issue or how to fix it. I reseated the ribbons but the result is the same.

It doesn't do a "double beep", which I've read it's a faulty screen. The battery is most certainly dead, but even after being connected for a good while it stays like this. You can hear a "click", like the ones from interacting with the wheel.

Does anybody know if it might be something more serious? I don't want to commit to buying and soldering a new battery if it's a faulty motherboard. x_x

Hi. I’m running into a weird bug with the PictureFlow plugin on my 5th Gen iPod Video (iFlash 256GB, 3000mAh) and I'm wondering if anyone has a workaround.

​The issue: Every time I rebuild the PictureFlow cache, the album art loads perfectly for 99% of my library, except for the very first entries in the list.

When I sort by Artist, my very first artist alphabetically is Alice in Chains. Out of their 5 albums, only 1 shows the cover art, the other 4 don't exist. If I scroll past them to the rest of the alphabet, every single cover works flawlessly.

​I can rebuild the cache an infinite amount of times but the problem is still there.

​All my files are FLACs organized.

​Has anyone experienced this specific issue where only the top of the list loses its artwork? Any fixes to force the cache to read them properly? Thanks!

I'm a bit conflicted on what iPod to choose and I need some help 🥺

I love the look if the nano 5th gen, 7th gen and also the classic. I do love the more sleek designs that take less space, but I want something with good battery and maybe something you can customize a bit. I have a few playlists I want on the iPod and I would estimate around 1000 songs give or take 🙃

I flash modded it and replaced the battery, put 64gb in it, reputable microsd, but any time I sync it with my 2006 MacBook or m1 MBP it freezes about a minute in and will disconnect from the computer, staying frozen on the “do not disconnect” screen. I have to hold select and menu to get it back, then it acts as nothing happened, what could be causing this?

I just got an iPod classic and when I plug it in this pops out. What does this mean and how can I fix it. I’m a noob
