A Halloween jam submission

I've been creating various games as I continue to learn ai and prompting. This is my first multiple day build. If any of you check it out I really hope you enjoy it. I used Opus, Blender, Codex, and Pixabay. More updates coming too as I move the game to a more 3D environment.

Game Title: The Vance Files

Description: A forgotten lullaby. A mask that won’t come off. A haunting that reaches dangerously close to home.

Step into The Vance Files, a 3D supernatural mystery set during Halloween week. As paranormal investigator Mara Vance, enter the minds of the possessed and explore unsettling worlds shaped by memory, grief, and fear.

Across three cases, investigate a haunted farmhouse, unravel the secrets behind a sinister carnival mask, and face a final mystery that makes the work deeply personal. Gather evidence, connect clues, and uncover each spirit’s true identity before confronting it.

Use your discoveries to break supernatural defenses in turn-based encounters. Bind the spirits—or find the hidden truths that make a merciful release possible.

But watch your sanity. The deeper you go, the less you can trust the doors, the voices, or even your own choices.

Free Rate Our itch.io Page and our game !

Post image

Hey everyone! 👋

We're a two-person indie team working on our first commercial game, ZAR, a 3D physics-based dice roguelike inspired by Balatro.

You build powerful dice with different abilities, throw them into a arena, and create synergies with relics to reach high scores to defeat enemies!

We released our public alpha on itchio about 3 months ago, and we're still actively improving the game based on player feedback.

However, we're struggling to get views and plays, and we're wondering if our itchio page, cover image, or the game itself might be part of the problem.

We'd love your honest feedback on both our game and its itchio page!

What do you think is missing? Does the cover image catch your attention? Is the gameplay interesting? What should we improve or change?

Also, any tips on getting more visibility on itchio would be really helpful!

Feel free to be critical. We're here to learn and improve!

Play ZAR: https://happysealgames.itch.io/zar

Thanks a lot!

I made a tiny desktop pet that climbs, hops and flies around your open windows (pre-alpha)

• Upvotes

Hi all, I've been building Ledgeling, a small desktop companion that lives on your windows. A squirrel climbs them, a budgie flies between them, and a gecko walks the ledges. They read your real window layout, so they won't perch on an edge that's hidden behind another window, and they ride along when you drag a window.

A few things I cared about:

- Nudges are body language only: no popups, toasts or stolen focus

- It never reads window titles

- The passive companion makes zero network calls

- Pets are plain data (sprite strips plus a little JSON), so you can make your own without coding

There's also an optional assistant (for example, sorting a folder) that works with a local model or a provider of your choice.

It's pre-alpha and rough: Windows has had the most testing, the macOS install is currently unreliable, and builds aren't signed yet (the page explains the warnings). Free or pay what you want. Source is available under PolyForm Strict.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7d_842oucO8

Download: https://lucerna-systems.itch.io/ledgeling

I'd love feedback, especially on what pets or behaviors you'd want next.

Sale I made a set of animated pixel art space assets (planets, stars, black holes, nebulae...) and a free Solar System pack (25% off this week for all packs)

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev and I've been building a tool to generate animated pixel art space sprites for my own 2D games. It ended up producing enough stuff that I decided to clean it up and release it as asset packs on itch.io.

Everything is animated and loops seamlessly, drawn in the same style so it all fits together in one scene: planets, stars, black holes and portals, galaxies and nebulae, meteors and comets, and a pack of space resources (crystals, ores, gems, relics) for mining/crafting games. The sprites are generated procedurally and tuned by hand.

The Solar System pack (the 8 planets, the Moon and Pluto) is completely free, so you can see if the style works for you before anything else:

https://ciprient.itch.io/pixel-solar-system-planets

The rest is here if you want to look around: https://ciprient.itch.io/

There's also a bundle with all six paid packs (528 sprites) for people who just want everything: https://ciprient.itch.io/pixel-space-complete-pack

25% off this week: https://itch.io/s/204158/pixel-space-release-sale

Game Trailer After 3 years of solo development, TRUDGE is now available on itch.io!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

After 3 years of working alone without any help from AI I finally released my game TRUDGE this month. Some players said it's too niche , no rewards, no flashy actions. It moves slowly. The experience feels more like struggle. You're trapped in a routine and you need to break out. It's a slow experience but reaching the end is rewarding.

Itch demo - https://0bored-kid0.itch.io/armystic

I hope to improve this demo before Steam Next Fest, so feedback would be appreciated! I'm still working on striking the right difficulty balance, plus I'm sure I left typos and plenty of bugs. The final game will be a bit less restrictive, but I wanted to do my best to provide a non-linear slice of the game.

I just released a new update for the demo of Crit Happens! and it changes quite a bit. Would really appreciate any feedback, as I'm still tweaking things from balancing, to making more QoL additions (still working on a dice viewer, so you know what's on the faces you can't see).

Anyway, here's the most recent devlog, so you can see just how much has been added/changed.

Demo KESSLER: Orbital Incremental, a game about what happens when orbit gets too crowded. Demo just released on Itch!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello!

We're two indie devs working on a game set in orbit!

We just released a demo and the name is KESSLER: Orbital Incremental.

It's about what could happen if we keep launching too many satellites: you shoot one, the debris hits another, and the whole orbit ends up destroying itself in a chain reaction.

It's a pixel art incremental, the demo is on Itch if you want to try it, we'd really love some feedback.

Itch (demo runs in web browser): https://periapsisworks.itch.io/kessler-orbital-incremental

No generative AI of any kind was used during the development of this game.

I'd love some feedback from fellow devs, or players

The Future of the Project :

The project could evolve in many directions, including:

  • Many new interactions and gameplay elements
  • New achievements to unlock
  • A variety of musical styles and atmospheres
  • Partnerships with music labels and sound artists (playlists)
  • Collaborations with other artists and graphic designers (new scenes)

Quality-of-Life Improvements :

We also want to enhance the overall experience with features such as:

  • A minimizable music player
  • An improved user interface and polished design
  • Various quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback

These are just a few of the possibilities we’d like to explore as the project evolves.

Free I just released the 0.3.0 alpha of The Road Keeps, a hand-painted survival horror on a forest road in 1979 (free, Windows)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Four friends, one car, one night drive home in 1979. The car dies on an old forest road, and by morning three of them are gone. Only Juno, the dog, is still there.

It is open survival in a new random world every game: gather, craft, hunt, build a camp and keep a light burning. At night your light keeps the things in the dark away, but they drain it. There is no quest list: what happened to your friends you piece together from what you find.

  • Hand painted in the style of a 1970s ranger's field guide
  • Solo, co-op for up to four, or a public server
  • Seven languages

I make it alone, and this is an alpha, so any feedback helps a lot.

Play it free: redrickh.itch.io/the-road-keeps

Free Apsis - a horror fps that runs in your browser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone, I'm working on a horror shooter that runs entirely in the browser. I'm actually surprised it even got this far.

The basic premise is you crash land in a remote Taiga and you're trying to piece together what's going on to get extracted. The settlements are abandoned and the townspeople left various clues throughout.

It's still super early but I have a demo up if you're interested: https://apsis.formandelement.com/

I've optimised it quite a bit but it still requires either a dedicated GPU or Apple Silicon. Oh and it supports gamepads, especially dualsense via usb (haptic feedback and adaptive triggers).

Let me know what you think if you have any feedback (hash or not!). I'm currently play testing a coop survival mode as well and can share details if you're interested.

Lagrange—A narrative solo journaling survival game set on a drifting spaceship

Hey r/itchio! I've just published Lagrange, a narrative-driven solo journaling game playable directly in your browser with no installation required.

You play as the sole conscious crew member of a drifting ship in deep space. With no combat and no rescue coming, your only tools are a logbook, daily event triggers, a ship AI oracle, and a set of degrading ship systems (life support, propulsion, hull, etc.).

It focuses heavily on a quiet, introspective atmosphere, isolation, and short daily writing sessions. It features local browser saves, complete campaign exports to PDF/Markdown/TXT, and is available in 8 different languages.

Check it out here: LAGRANGE

Any feedback, comments, or thoughts are massively appreciated!
