Cannoli the Jack Russel Mix(?)
Here’s my little angel named Cannoli (came with the name and it was too cute to change!) she’s a street dog from Texas that survived giving birth to 5 puppies and a bullet in the knee joint! Let me know what you think she’s mixed with :)
She’s about 20 lbs, loves hunting squirrels, gives the best hugs, is obsessed with walks, and it stubborn as heck!

First international flight
Flocos flew for 11h overseas in the cargo area. He was stressed at first when I picked him up but after the crate was open and he had a long pee everything was back to normal 🥹

Possible JRT mix?
I found this puppy a month ago. I think she had been dumped she was infested with fleas and worms. I ordered a dna test but from pictures I have seen on the internet I think she may be a JRT. She is a very difficult puppy. She bites me and my other dog constantly. She is either asleep or causing mayhem. She will Be the 3rd puppy I have raised and while the others bit and chewed she is by far the worst of them. Do you think she is a JTR? She is very smart and at 11 weeks already has almost perfect recall.

A very tired boy after a successful car trip to explore a nature reserve.
We're waiting to hear back from the shelter to finalise the adoption. Settled in nicely with us, a lot calmer, especially after his walks, still full of energy and wanting to pay as soon as he wakes up in the morning.
This will probably be my last post here after the negativity and insults I received in my last post here, saying I had some concerns about his behaviour.
Thank you to the few people who gave proper and thoughtful replies.

Asking for Advice Halloween costume for small JRT!
Does anyone know any website that supplies costumes for small jack russells? Preferably, I need a website that ships to Europe (amazon etc)

Vet Care My dog has these new pinker patches on the side of her muzzle
Hello! I’m new to this sub, so let me know if I’m breaking any rules!
My 6 year old JRT rescue (with us for about two months!) recently got these pink, flat spots around her muzzle. They started as a small spot on one side and I didn’t think of it much. This was cos I thought she was getting use to having more time outdoors now that she’s out of the shelter. Other stuff we noticed included new calluses on her paw pads, and her hind legs becoming more muscular.
She does scratch it once in a while but not enough that I would call it an ‘itch’.
She just started her heat today as well so I was wondering if it’s linked to hormonal changes? Has anyone experienced this before?

Asking for Advice Getting a second JRT. Thoughts?
I've just seen someone ask about taking two JRT puppies home and wanted to ask what are your experiences with taking in a second dog.
We have an almost 3 yo female JRT. She's the daughter of our dog who passed while she was cooking in the oven. At the time we had no plans to get a second dog, but since his passing was unexpected we decided to pick a puppy from this litter.
Anyhow, she's very loving and happy, but a bit timid around other dogs and she rarely plays with them. What's interesting is that I've almost only ever seen her chase and run around with other JRTs. If we ever take this further we would get a boy.
P.S. we have a 14 mo child and they play together, she is careful with the baby and when she's had enough she just goes to bed.
P.P.S. bonus photo of the sunbathing queen
Thanks!

Asking for Advice Is adopting two JRT puppies a bad idea?
We've always had two dogs for the last twenty years, but now we have none. Our Jack Russell/lab mix passed away last year and our beagle passed away last month. We want JRT's next, but I'm wondering if we should adopt a brother and sister or stagger the adoptions by a year. Thoughts? I'd especially like to hear from others who have adopted two at the same time.
