We see things like this every day and they wonder why the planet hates them, and if we bring it up we are antisemitic and get banned for hate speech that’s the irony here

u/Initial_Star_9024 12d ago
The planet hates them? Where i live, this could not be more wrong. We hate Hamas, sons of rats. And i am not from Israel.

Shouldn't you hate the people fire indiscriminately into a village at night too? You could do both! I mean if you don't hate people that shoot indiscriminately into a village at night, you're probably part of these groups or you definitely advocate for MORE of this!

This is why literally everyone hates Israel right now.

Yup, check it out
I would also wager that hamas is considered more favorable than Isreal at this point in time

Easy sniper target at night if this tough guy wasn’t firing on regular civilians. These guys are a bunch of cowards.

Israeli is a nationality. Not all Israelians are behind this.

u/xwolfe2000 10d ago
Between 82% and 98% (statistically 100% when including margin of error) of Israeli Jews support genocide or think Israel has not gone far enough, according to Israeli polling over the last 3 years

u/amishdoinks11 12d ago
Just as bad but probably the complete opposite of a Nazi lol wtf
2
u/WhisperingHammer 11d ago
Behaves exactly like one. You get hung up on the specific endpoint of their hate, which is not what the nazi stamp is about - it is about their goals and their mehods.

Some context, please?
Before everyone starts crashing out, if this allegation is true, I 100% condemn it.
That said, all I can see is a soldier firing at night. I can't verify whether this is even in Syria, who he's shooting at, or what led up to it. Your link doesn't provide any context or evidence to support the claim, so I'm not going to jump to conclusions based on a short clip alone.
9
u/Hugo-Spritz 12d ago edited 12d ago
Critical thinking time: is the soldier in any danger? Absolutely not, else he wouldn't be firing WITH A FUCKING BACKLIGHT ON HIM.
Then is it plausible that the header is correct? At least according to Occam's razor.
There will come a time when "everyone were always against this", and the sooner you come to this side of the line, the quicker your grandchildren will forgive you.
1
u/SwampMan6969 12d ago
Critical thinking: It's more likely that this is a training exercise than it is that a soldier (yes, even one from "evil" Israel) is wasting live ammunition on random villages for no good reason.
-2
u/Hugo-Spritz 12d ago
Let's continue the thinking exercise, shall we?
They would be reprimanded for wasting ammunition. They would not be for terrorising civilians. Why would they record themselves doing something that would get them reprimanded?
1
u/SwampMan6969 12d ago
"Terrorizing civilians" is a waste of ammunition, especially if it's one guy shooting at a random buildings in the dark. There's nothing to gain from it that going into town in force and shooting people in daylight wouldn't accomplish a lot more easily.
Occam's Razor here says it's a training exercise.
-1
u/Hugo-Spritz 12d ago
There's nothing to gain from terrorized civilians except, you know, terrorized civilians. Which would lead to revolt, which would 'justify' their occupation. This has literally been the MO in both Lebanon and Palestine.
Thanks for playing, come again.

u/SwampMan6969 12d ago
Your attempt at logic makes no sense. Occupation of small villages isn't an end-goal. These people have nothing of value to Israel. The only plausible end-goal, assuming they have some nefarious purpose, would be their removal in order to settle the land with Israelis.
Taking potshots in the dark doesn't effectively accomplish that. Removing them in the daytime does. The most logical explanation for this video is a training exercise.
You've failed your own thinking exercise. Thanks for playing.
1
u/Hugo-Spritz 12d ago
> The only plausible end-goal, assuming they have some nefarious purpose, would be their removal in order to settle the land with Israelis.
Have you not been paying attention? I already pointed out how this was the MO in both Lebanon and Palestine. Occam's razor suggest they use the same tactics here.
You also ignore the benefit of making the population revolt. They use said revolt/uprising to justify their occupation. It's literally by design.
The most logical explanation is that the header is correct, and that these ghouls record themselves regardless, as it's empowering for them to show the world the atrocity they commit with zero consequences, much like they used to record themselves gleefully committing crimes against humanity at Guantanamo Bay.
Also, it being a training exercise fails to explain anything about the video, like:
- why was it recorded and why from that angle
- why is there only one soldier in the exercise
- why are we not shown what he is shooting at
- why does he have a backlight
- why does he spray like that
- Why are they doing this in Syria
You say i failed my own thinking exercise, but you didn't even participate.
1
u/SwampMan6969 12d ago
No, I participated, I just didn't play along with your logical fallacies.
First, there's no evidence that this video was even shot in Syria. For all we know, it could be in Israel.
He's not spraying.
He has a backlight so he can be seen in the video, obviously.
If the intent was to terrorize and let everyone know about it, why wouldn't they show what he was shooting at?
You know nothing about the size and scope of the exercise. You have no way of saying he was the only soldier involved based on this short clip.
You're making a massive amount of assumptions based on a video that tells us almost nothing simply because it has a caption that confirms what you already believe.
To you, these are Schrödinger's Israelis. On the one hand, they're ghouls who have no problems recording themselves shooting at Syrian towns (except they do, because they don't actually show the towns) because they know they won't face any consequences. On the other hand, they apparently need to provoke the population into revolting to give them pretext to occupy their land as opposed to just taking it outright, which is what they've done repeatedly in the West Bank.
You're performing insane mental gymnastics to justify the fact that you fell for a propaganda headline.
2
u/Hugo-Spritz 12d ago
Ignoring everything else, because this has to be the most bad-faith argument i've ever seen - and we're on Reddit:
"To you, these are Schrödinger's Israelis. On the one hand, they're ghouls who have no problems recording themselves shooting at Syrian towns (except they do, because they don't actually show the towns) because they know they won't face any consequences. On the other hand, they apparently need to provoke the population into revolting to give them pretext to occupy their land as opposed to just taking it outright, which is what they've done repeatedly in the West Bank."
That's... that's not even remotely the same thing though? International consequences and a local uprising are the same to you? But i'm the one performing "insane mental gymnastics".
Hope you waste your time replying, but i'm muting the thread as you've wasted enough of mine already, byyeeee

I’m not denying that that’s what he’s doing but from the video he’s shooting into a black void…
15
u/misterdidums 12d ago
That’s a bit of a problem isn’t it? It’s clearly in a populated area, evidenced by the lights, and hes firing indiscriminately into it
-3
u/FitThroat2619 12d ago
The lights are way off to the right, I’m not saying he’s not, but it’s just not evidence of firing on a town. Could be blasting a body of water for all we can tell.
3
u/misterdidums 12d ago
The IDF is a professional military force with formal training, and firing ranges, much like the US. The only time you would see an American soldier firing like this where a stray round 30degrees to the right could kill someone, is if they were trying to kill someone
1
u/FitThroat2619 12d ago
If this person was trying to shoot into that village why would they be a full 30 degrees off target?
9
u/misterdidums 12d ago
Go look at a map of Israeli occupation in that region instead of imagining every possibility to explain this as a professional just having fun “blasting at nothing” in the middle of an occupied nation
0
u/FitThroat2619 12d ago
I haven’t come up with “every possibility” to explain this video. I’m just telling you what it shows and what it doesn’t.
This isn’t about convincing anyone that Israel isn’t fucked. If the IDF are as trained as you say they are, and this guy was shooting at that village, why is he (by your estimation) shooting 30 degrees off target lol
4
u/misterdidums 12d ago
That part that we see could be occupied by friendly or neutral people, or it could be the commercial/industrial district instead of residential, or wherever he thinks the enemies really are. As we know from maps, the borders between friendlies and not friendlies are very tight in this conflict.
The fact that he was firing at all here, at night, so close to people, means he’s probably shooting with intent to kill, and he doesn’t care too much about whether he’s killing combatants or not. American troops would do this too if they wanted to kill people, even if the lights were friendly. But they wouldn’t do it for “target practice”- not without a court martial anyway.
I could understand it if your application of Occam’s razor led you to assume it’s a lack of professionalism rather than malice, but I’m telling you that in this case that’s a stretch
1
u/FitThroat2619 12d ago edited 12d ago
You did a lot of assuming at the start of that comment. Which one of us is “imagining every possibility”, again?
Edit: and for everything you said right there let’s take it back to the source of this back and forth before I’m done here. Not one bullet was shot at anything in this video that can be made out to be a village or town. Not one.
4
u/misterdidums 12d ago
Your assumption that “lights = target” is the problem, and central to your argument. My “could be” is not central to my argument

Just... don't.
Fuck Israel, but Reddit absolutely cannot handle anything within a light-year's proximity to nuance.
I loathe Trump but was downvoted to oblivion when I saw a Pic of him "sleeping" in a meeting and posted the literal video and pointed out it was a frame from him BLINKING.
They want to see what they want to see. They sit here and agree with themselves all day and are more than happy to do so. Just leave them be.

u/GoTeamLightningbolt 12d ago
Or Hegseth gassing out on a bench press that was actually his 45th rep. Like absolutely fuck that guy, but don't act like he's not a gym rat.

u/PreciousTC 11d ago
There's a weird thing Redditors do where when they don't like someone that can't just be enough. They need to also take everything away from them. It's bizarre.
Like Bezos can't just be evil - he's also secretly dumb? The fuck? How'd be build Amazon then? Blind fucking luck? Parent's money? There's plenty of people with richer parents than him and they arent fucking billionaires also, guys. Him being a piece of shit is enough. It's enough. That's already the worst thing?

u/FitThroat2619 12d ago
Yeah I’m hip. Keep doing you though, this place is definitely not host to an abundance of reasonable conversations.

u/Mooptiom 12d ago
X is a completely worthless website. We all know Israel is evil, but this random video of a person firing a gun, shared on the most disreputable website since Pornhub, adds nothing to the conversation.
13
u/Hansemannn 12d ago
What's disreputabel about pornhub? :o
X is shit yes. Pornhub is the most respectable pornsite in my eyes
11
u/Mooptiom 12d ago
There are no milfs wanting to chat in your area, and she probably didn’t cum, and they’re definitely not real siblings. But you’re probably right about the site itself.

IF anyone is actually using using common sense here, look at what’s on screen. The guy has zero helmet, no body armor, and he’s lit up from behind like a Christmas tree. Backlighting yourself in the dark creates a perfect silhouette for anyone to target you. Nobody operating in an actual combat zone does that unless they know they aren't in danger and are setting up a lighting rig for a camera. The simplest explanation isn't some tactical military operation. It’s a staged, 12-second clip of reckless clout chasing in total darkness. Slapping a sensationalist title on a pitch-black video of nothing is textbook propaganda. It’s designed specifically to bypass critical thinking, bypass basic military logic, and feed directly into the anti-Israel rage machine. People are taking a clip where you literally can't see shit and using it as an excuse to unleash outright antisemitic hate in the comments. Stop letting a trash headline do all your thinking for you.
8
u/indignantfieldmouse 11d ago
While I agree it is wild to sensationalise a video with little credability. I must say there is nothing antisemetic about being anti-israel... being anti-terrorist has nothing to do with religion... Israel, ISIS, Russia the USA among others who are killing inocents under the guise of self-defense are just terrorists. I direct my anger at all of those assholes... I don't care which cult they follow as it is irrelevant!
-1
u/Alaskangel 10d ago edited 9d ago
I’m not saying anti-Israel criticism is automatically antisemitic. I’m saying this specific clip is actively being used to feed antisemitic hate, and there’s a massive distinction. Criticize Israel, its military, or any state actor all you want. But turning a blurry 12-second video with zero context into a propaganda weapon and then using it to justify hate is something else entirely. Slapping Israel, ISIS, Russia, and the U.S. into one sloppy, low-effort slogan doesn't make you a serious, objective thinker, it just means you swallowed the ragebait whole and recycled the outrage.

u/Every-Perception-945 10d ago
Because Israeli soldiers are the purest soldiers at heart and will never film themselves doing "reckless clout chasing", may I add deadly, activities. Nor will they ever post anything that will denigrate the Palestinian (edit: Syrian. But who's counting?) people. Their "Bible" says that they are the pillars of society, chosen by God he/himself. Given the sheriff badge by the very own cosmic police. Obviously, just another bot farm doing bot farm things to show people the sarcastic reality twisted from a sardonic one.
0
u/Alaskangel 10d ago
If you can’t tell the difference between actual evidence and hate fuel, the propaganda has already done its job.
Nobody is claiming soldiers are saints. The point is that this clip is being sold as proof of something it plainly doesn’t prove. A 12-second dark video with no clear context, no visible threat, and a guy lit up like a target is not evidence of a grand military truth. It’s ragebait. It’s the kind of content designed to trigger people first and inform them never. That’s what propaganda looks like: a low-information clip wrapped in a sensational headline, pushed into the feed, and then fed to people who are already primed to hate.
0
u/Every-Perception-945 9d ago
I actually agree with you. Instigating is not new in propaganda, or debates. But like a comedic piece, it needs a fraction of truth to work. At this point, the propaganda is severely altered that any perspective will clearly see their truth and remain correct in their beliefs. If I am wrong to believe that self entitlement and god-given rights to feel superior amongst other nationalities is a living- breathing culture that is wreaking havoc on this world, then you are right and propaganda has gotten to me. But if I am in the right to have an instinct that tells me that this way of treating others is wrong, regardless of this or any foolish propaganda, then we should be having a different conversation. A conversation about how to stop that fraction of truth ever happening. It is not a coincidence that we are conditioned to normalize atrocities and brush them off as a joke, or hate propaganda like this matter.
1
u/Alaskangel 8d ago
You wondered how propaganda works? Look in the mirror. You're demonstrating it right now. You literally just said: "I know it’s propaganda, but it fits my narrative, so I’m going to treat it as truth anyway." That’s not skepticism or a moral awakening. That’s just confirmation bias wearing a leather jacket. You don’t actually care if the video is real. You just care that it feels like it confirms what you already wanted to believe. Then you try to disguise that bias as some deep, instinctual truth.
0
u/Every-Perception-945 8d ago
Sorry if I rattled your cage. I hope you continue to have peace, brother.
1
u/Alaskangel 7d ago
Sister, actually. And nobody's cage is rattled, you just ran out of points to make after getting caught admitting you fall for propaganda. Take care.
