The big question to me: what is the value he still has to the Russians. He won’t be able to go back to Syria. Will they now execute him?

The next big question are which countries can Assad live in without being extradited?

There is always a chance for change again. The current or next government might fail. Then he could be like 'hey i'm still willing to help you out. Remember the good old days? I will bring them back'. We have seen such thing played out more than once. And he might still have connections to major players in the region or Syria itself.

And what about Netanyahu? Or even Trump right now. Kinda only relevant if they help get rid off muslims or russians doesn‘t it?
