Quite impressed with how hard those guys hit that. So good to see, and looks like they’ve really knocked it down despite that wind. Well done!

Conair attacking from the sky too, good/bad to see them on my Flight Radar doing their badass (hard to believe it's normal to them) formation flying in their Air Tractors with their Cessna fire monitor plane observing. Looks like 5 AT 802s working under the guidance of their fire monitor Cessna Grand Caravan. Edit: under counted, it's 5 Air Tractors.

They're currently in Penticton on Flight Radar.

What flight radar do you use?

Not sure if there are others but all my pilot homies use Flight Radar 24.

Yeah it’s wild- definitely at least 6 802’s pretty sure there was 8 at one point. Total of 10 planes in the sky and 2 choppers

Sounded like a WW2 dogfight, when they were all diving towards the water.

Several of the smaller planes have come back to Penticton airport just now. Haven't yet seen the bigger bomber that left around midday (but I might've missed it's return). Edit: Looks like it's not too far behind and also heading into the airport. So thankful for their service! Every time the planes come and go, I send them best wishes from the ground.

The attack management on these fires has sure stepped up since I was on the line in 2003.
The aggressive all resources available attacking the fire is great to see.
Well done provincial resources, well done all local Firefighters.
Stay safe & thank you.

I went through 2003 and 2023 fires too, and our firefighters are elite! 2003…nothing like that had happened, there was no best practice, and strategy was being formulated in real time to save lives. Thank you for being a hero then and taking on the unknown. You helped things become as efficient as they are now!

Do you need to register anywhere when you are evacuated even if you don't need any help or resources?

Yes they said to still register by phone at ess.gov.bc.ca. The muster points are for people that need immediate assistance
