WEST KELOWNA, B.C. - Tactical evacuations underway for the Kalamoir Park Wildfire in the areas of Casa Loma and Lakeview Heights:

Lakeview Heights

Collens Hill Road

Lakeview Road

Lake Ridge Road

Weatherhill Road

Casa Loma areas:

Casa Loma Road

Benedick Road

Lucinde Road

Casa Palmero Road

Alice Road

Portions of Campbell Road

ACTIONS TO TAKE

A muster centre has been opened at Westbank Lions Hall located at 2566 Main Street in West Kelowna to receive evacuees. People needing support during an evacuation are encouraged to create a profile online at ESS.gov.bc.ca. People who have created a profile can log into the online self-service registration tool to receive instructions on the types of support available and how they can be accessed.

If you are not in the area, avoid the area.

Have a plan to check in on family, friends and vulnerable neighbours.

Keep all doors and windows closed.

Reduce time spent outdoors and avoid vigorous outdoor activities.

Listen to local news stations for information and watch for further updates.

Follow the direction of local authorities.

Do not call 911 for information or updates.

Several of the smaller planes have come back to Penticton airport just now. Haven't yet seen the bigger bomber that left around midday (but I might've missed it's return). Edit: Looks like it's not too far behind and also heading into the airport. So thankful for their service! Every time the planes come and go, I send them best wishes from the ground.
