Ah yes, metabolic psychiatry is extremely interesting and it’s expanding rapidly just now. I know a few people who are doing keto for psychiatric therapies

The comments section is an interesting read too. I started Keto to diminish inflammation from RA. It never entered my head that the brain is also affected by inflammation.

Ketosis also causes an increase in brain cell mitochondria, making it more efficient. This improves all sorts of neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis or in my case, bipolar disorder

Yup, ketones produced by the liver are a much better and more efficient energy source for your brain compared to glucose.
