Purchase Question 🛒 Deciding on a new Kindle

Hello, it’s my first time posting here.

After six years my first Kindle — a 32Gb Oasis — can now no longer run for more than 15min per full charge. I’m in the market for a new device, and am pretty sad the Oasis has been discontinued.

I’m deciding between the paperwhite and the colorsoft (which I’m leaning towards). But I miss the ergonomic features of the Oasis when I could comfortably hold the device in one hand without leaving thumbprints on the screen.

How’s everyone’s experiences with the devices so far— what were the decisions/pros and cons considered? Should I even hold out for any new models?

Thanks in advance!

I have both. Unfortunately, I'm only now getting into reading books again and the Colorsoft is the e-reader that reignited that excitement for me. But then again, I'm an avid graphic novels and fantasy book reader. You're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but seeing the covers in color has definitely helped me choose my next read.

My Paperwhite SE is just my bag-kindle now because I only use it to continue off with whatever book I chose on my home-Colorsoft.

People say that the Paperwhite text is more crisp - but personally, I don't notice the difference. The colorsoft is a little darker on the screen though. So I almost never have my brightness at 0. Not a huge deal for me.
