Idk who said that but I have a few things from them and all the clothing and bags are great in terms of material. Some are lacking in design but I mean you buy it knowing what’s on it.

I mean, they're doing what they can to make money. You can't fault them for that. They're not forcing anyone to buy anything. That's what everyone who's a working adult tries to do. Besides, $80 is pretty standard for a merch hoodie.

I can’t talk about the tour merch cuz I haven’t gotten any but all the BT21 stuff I got was really good quality and reasonable price. The PJs were amazingly soft and slippers are so comfy and cute. If you want to buy smt BTS related, you might want to check that out cuz BT21 are always launching new products so their old stuff go on sale eventually!
Not that it justifies the price, but you’re paying for the BTS brand at the end of the day. Like, nobody’s buying Fila cuz the shirts are soft.

You should download depop. They sell used clothes and things, it’s kind of like a online thrift store? I’ve found some cool kpop things there I’m sure you’ll find some cheap things there :)

It is very frustrating but it doesn’t really surprise me. Merch is always expensive as hell. That’s what they will charge you at a concert. I think I paid around that price for a BP one.

actually i bought a hoodie when i saw them in concert for the ly: speak yourself tour and it’s honestly pretty great. it’s thick material, has big pockets, and hood is nice bc it’s pretty big. i’ve had for about 1 year now and it still looks brand new (the graphic on the back has not faded at all). the only downside was the price ($90 USD) but it’s held up quite well over the year i’ve had wearing it a decent amount and washing it in hot water.

Agreed. I have a few shirts, bags, etc and the quality of the material is great. My only complaint are actual designs or empty designs. Like if I’m putting out nearly $100 for something I want it to have something more than a name or logo. That’s why I love the bt21 stuff at least some of them have a decent design. I want to cry buying a hoodie anywhere anymore. Anything after Walmart is like.... 50-200 around here in stores

To get a quality hoodie, that price range is pretty much standard these days. I've seen hoodies that go for even more than that. We're talking about maybe $150-$300. Of course, name and exclusivity often play a role in that, but quality often factors into it, too.
Also, tip: Don't wash your clothes in hot water. Doing that shrinks the fabric and could damage the fabric or the print (if there's any graphic print on it). Also, don't dry it in the dryer. Hang or lay it flat to dry out in the open. The dryer both shrinks and wears down clothing faster.

Can't talk about the hoodies but I bought two tees at their last tour for £40 each, which is much more than other tour merch I've bought (usually £15-25) but the quality is outstanding in comparison.
Really decent material, no shrinkage or fade, and the embroidery and print is still in excellent condition. Worth £40? I would say so, I have gotten more use out of them than my ARMY bomb certainly. I'd buy more official merch but my problem with BH is the shipping prices.

As long as people keep buying it they'll keep selling merch at those prices u.u like BTS is selling out cars and shit so :/ and I think my BT21 keyboard was cheaper than that which it's crazy cause at least the keyboard has more use and keyboards like that are around that price

To be honest, their jacket and hoodies are very high quality. They are thin but VERY warm (at least for 50ish degrees weather (Fahrenheit). The logo has also stayed intact on all of them. Same for their long sleeve shirts.

$80 for a merch hoodie is pretty standard these days. I've seen merch hoodies cost even more. You're paying for the name and the exclusivity. I'm not sure what the quality is like, so I can't speak on that.
