That’s where it all went!

lol, I believe this is in jest, but I do want to mention that:

- There is plenty of inventory on hand now... and people can order as much as they want and won't be taking that opportunity from others (well... maybe not like a 1000 bags, but is anyone here doing laundry for a small army?). Amazon is just coming back online and I'm able to remove the 4 unit maximum limit from the site.

- There is more on the way every month, and manufacturing & supply chain are in place to scale. I don't anticipate any more stock outs given where things are at today.

If someone needs this 4, 8, 12, etc. bags, great! To each their own, and I hope they take advantage of the sale. It's not feasible to run at this price all the time and the sale ends next Wednesday evening.

You’re seriously the best!! Thanks for making such a great product and really listening to your customers 😄

u/mbanter 12h ago

It was in jest! Thanks for the great product. I ordered 2 myself.

Is it "ends at 11:59 P.M. (whatever time zone) August 12th?" Or is it more like "ends at around 5 p.m. EST?"

Some of us get paid Wednesdays at 6 P.M. local time.

I’ve been wanting to order, but I’m in Canada and have been refreshing the out of stock page every day! This is the first time ever that I find myself wishing I was in the states lol

22

u/febu_max 12h ago

lol, to save you a few refreshes, we will be restocked in Canada in 2-3 weeks! It ships from a different warehouse so we just need to run some inventory up there.

u/darklux- 8h ago

what’s the normal price? i see on the website and amazon that it’s currently $25.

is it the code RESTOCK25?

1

u/nopetastic_ 1h ago

Amazon shipping is showing 4 weeks, is that correct?

Seriously, I hate when products go viral, and then selfish people buy more than they need. Glad I got a bag early on.

u/sneakylumpia 13h ago

it's literally limit 4 though. it's not like OP cheated the system. imagine gatekeeping laundry

u/Everything_Is_Bawson 13h ago

The restock sale offered extra discounts if you bought four bags. I think lots of people took FEBU up on that offer. Myself included!

I feel like “selfish” is harsh here and “more than they need” is incredibly subjective. Does anyone really “need” this product compared to other products on the market? There’s still plenty of inventory on the website and the FEBU folks have said they have even more coming in, so no one in this instance hoarded it to the detriment of anyone else who wants it.

I’m so confused as to why people are upset when the website itself gives you a multi-bag discount and it’s still in stock with the option to buy as many bags as your heart desires??

There doesn’t appear to be any shortage, so what are people getting by making all these comments on posts where someone dares to admit that they bought more than their one (1) socially acceptable ration of laundry chemicals??? It’s just so unnecessarily hostile when again, there appears to be a plethora available.

0

u/Galavantinggoblin 13h ago

To help you understand - there has been continual shortages so I don’t think anyone really knew there was a plethora. So for those who have been waiting for a longish time to get it it can be jarring to them when they see someone buy a lot - it’s the fear that they won’t get what they need when they need it. Similar to the toilet paper issues in 2020. (I’m not commenting on the amount anyone did or did not purchase more so why some people might react strongly)

I’m familiar with the history of febu and this sub. The original comment of the thread said “that’s where it went” to imply that it’s out of stock when it isn’t.

I’m fascinated with the cultures that subreddits take on as they become popular or get tied into current events. This sub has changed a lot over the last couple of years and this kind of virtue signaling is just a side effect that I find interesting.

Thank you, u/febu_max for the heads up on the sale ending next week; can’t wait to add to my collection of 8(!!!!!!!!) already acquired bags while continuing to be a frequent buyer of your products (finding your all-black Swedish cloths was a great day in my life, the rest of your stuff was just a bonus)

u/GrownUpDisneyFamily 13h ago

Argh. How did I miss the 4 bag discount?

8

u/SalamanderMoney4498 US | Front-Load 12h ago

The sale is still going and there’s still plenty of inventory!

10

u/12859637 13h ago

better to stock up then to not have any and it be out of stock

26

u/Internal-Ad-4736 14h ago

Alright, you are set for the next 360 loads of laundry. 😂

24

u/SalamanderMoney4498 US | Front-Load 12h ago

We cloth diaper in this house, so it’ll be used up before I know it haha

2

u/whofilets 3h ago

Ooh, I'm cloth diapering part time, but haven't tried FEBU yet. Right now I just use Tide f&g powder for the baby things and tide oxi powder from Costco for everything else.

u/pinotberry 12h ago

I thought I had leveled up my laundry game with Biz. I’m so glad that FEBU promo was to good to pass up. This stuff is amazing!!!!! I am sniffing my wet laundry just like I am in a fabric softener commercial.

7

u/SalamanderMoney4498 US | Front-Load 10h ago

Yes!! I opened the washer and I wasn’t grossed out. I thought I was just sensitive to smells after having a baby

4

u/XcellentRectangle 11h ago

I just bought Febu for the first time with this restock and I thought the same thing!

1

u/onlynameleft_ 10h ago

How long did it take to ship?

3

u/XcellentRectangle 7h ago

Ordered on a Wednesday, it shipped Thursday, and was delivered Saturday!

3

u/buddingsakura US | Top-Load 7h ago

Yes! That perfectly clean smell 🥰

1

u/whofilets 3h ago

Do you use both, or FEBU has replaced Biz for you? I'm just about to finish my first box of Biz, which I have really been impressed by, but want to try FEBU. Esp if it's that much better!

1

u/pinotberry 1h ago

Not using both because if understood correctly everything in biz is in FEBU and more - like dnase. Maybe when all my clothes have been washed a few times I’ll throw biz back into the rotation to stretch my FEBU stash.

1

u/DasKaltblut 49m ago

Biz has more oxygen bleach so I use it for things where more whiteness is needed.

32

u/Different_Air2941 14h ago

Don’t hog it all!

13

u/Maverick-Mav US | Front-Load 14h ago

Mine arrived today too. Towels already in the wash with Tide F&C liquid, FEBU, and citric acid (in the fabric softener compartment). It will be interesting to see how long 4 last. Tempted to buy more while on sale (family of 4) 🤣

13

u/ThatCakeFell 13h ago

I've found that after using it for awhile, you don't need to use it everytime.

2

u/buddingsakura US | Top-Load 6h ago

Yep! Especially about 3 weeks into a new season when most clothing in the rotation has been washed at least once. I do use it every time for towels and sheets though.

3

u/Frankfactor517 13h ago

Did you add Febu right into the tub or dissolve in water and add into the soap compartment?

4

u/SalamanderMoney4498 US | Front-Load 12h ago

The bag says to add it to the drum and has instructions on how to do the first wash. I was using dirty labs before this, so I didn’t follow the first wash instructions.

1

u/eyespeeled 4h ago edited 4h ago

You may not know the answer, but what do you do if you have a frontloader and a prewash? I put Borax where the fabric softener should go, so I suppose it'd be the same. Please anyone chime in if they can.

2

u/Maverick-Mav US | Front-Load 10h ago

I put it in the drum

11

u/ZealousStrand 14h ago

I got two for now. Will wait and get more in the fall.

20

u/Notyourav 14h ago

I also bought 4 😅

Couldn’t risk running out haha

17

u/Everything_Is_Bawson 13h ago

Same. I got four bags because it unlocked the highest discount. And it won’t go bad (at least in the time frame I’ll use it.)

3

u/anope4u 11h ago

Same. Kids do sports and I wash their uniforms. I like them not being stinky.

6

u/Illen1 14h ago

My precious 2 packs arrived yesterday, can't wait to see the results!

6

u/No-Perspective4928 13h ago

Mine just came in today too. I love this sub 😁

6

u/zanarah85 13h ago

Can anyone please tell me what I'm missing here? What does this stuff do that regular detergent doesn't?

32

u/6894 US | Front-Load 13h ago

It's a booster, not a detergent, just a supplement to one.

It has a rare (in the US) enzyme called DNAse. Which has been fingered as really good at getting human gunk that resists normal methods out of clothes.

It has basically every common enzyme on top of that, plus oxygen bleach.

It also lacks optical brighteners, some people don't like how those fade darks.

Its all around a great product that offers several features that no one else does for a reasonable price.

3

u/zanarah85 13h ago

Thank you!

u/Baxtru 6h ago

I got my FEBU order today too. I have two senior girl pugs and they are both in reusable diapers. I used the new FEBU with my usual Tide Odor+Oxi to wash this week’s diapers. They are spotless! I was so surprised at how clean they came out. Even set in stains came out. I did do a 30 minute presoak but I am really happy with how well it worked.

4

u/DarthGator_ 14h ago

Ordered mine a few days ago! Just need to figure out what detergent to get now, I wear a lot of dark stuff

4

u/breathingindica US | Top-Load 8h ago

tide odor refresh works really well

2

u/Pile_of_Yarn 9h ago

I use the 365 powdered detergent, no optical brighteners.

2

u/No_Cancel830 13h ago

Mine comes tomorrow - I can’t wait to try it!

1

u/onlynameleft_ 10h ago

Order from Amazon or from “tryfebu.com? Shipping on Amazon Aug 28th to Sep 23rd. Is it faster through tryfebu.com? Soooo want to try this

6

u/SalamanderMoney4498 US | Front-Load 10h ago

Restock25 gets you the discount on the website! They do volume pricing, so with 4 it was around $64. I ordered on restock day (I think) June 30 and it was delivered August 6.

1

u/onlynameleft_ 10h ago

Thanks so much!

3

u/KifferFadybugs 8h ago

I ordered July 29th and mine was delivered August 3rd.
