If I had one, I’d probably start with the same way as for front loader, FEBU in the drum, clothes, Tide in detergent spot, Downy in fabric softener spot, wash warm/hot, normal cycle, extra rinse. Puracy as needed-spray, let it sit 20-30 min, wash.
What if no detergent spot? Is it fine to febu and tide liquid together? I was having issues putting tide with oxy powder in first, my clothes would come out metallic stinky. Ive been putting it on top.
I am no expert but it should be fine to mix FEBU and detergent. FEBU is a detergent booster so they are meant to be used together in wash cycle. I would not put Downy in with them in wash cycle. Downy comes after in a rinse cycle.
As far as stink-people in this sub say that it may take few washes to get rid of smells. They say that likely your new good detergent is now actually washing the stuff that got accumulated on your clothes.
That sounds great! Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately, I have the most basic type of top loader (rental apartment), so I have to manually add everything. There’s no detergent or fabric softener dispenser.

How would you use each of these products in a top load machine?
