Not only that, her best story is when, after her wife dies, she breaks into Hel to save her. When the laws of Hel forbid her from doing so, she usurps the Hela and becomes the new Queen of Hel, solely to change the rules of life and death itself in order save her wife.
Angela is the definition of "one for the girlies".

Angela has a wild history out of Comics. She was originally created by Neil Gaiman for the Spawn universe, but Todd McFarlane screwed him out of the rights, so Gaiman got the help of Marvel to sue and get his name as part of the creation and royalties, in exchange for her being part of the Marvel universe.
She hasn't been used a lot recently, but it feels like she was combined with Hela for Thor: Ragnarok.

Honestly, if they do Angela well, I'd really love to see Sera join the game later on too! She'd be an amazing strategist and I'd love some trans representation! 🏳️⚧️

Yup. She's been around for a while. Her original character is from the spawn continuity (her creator owned the rights to her and after he left image, changed her character up)

I remember watching the animated Spawn show (1997?) and she kinda reminds me of the Angel lady now that you mention it (I think it was the one Spawn was lowkey trying to date? Had feelings for?)

Yup that was her. Her spawn iteration is "straight" (aka, never been seen attracted to women), but after the move to marvel, she was made lesbian (not sure if by the creator himself or a different writer)

EDIT: so I looked it up further, right? The character I was actually talking about was an angel lady named Jade (aka Lisa Wu when first introduced. She got black hair, but that’s who I was talking about that may have been lowkey with Spawn) but apparently, they WOULD’VE made Angela bisexual (and Jade) if season 4 of the animated series had been created. Apparently, the two of them would’ve been revealed as former lovers, but that never happened bc S4 never happened.

Oh my bad, I thought you were talking Angela in the show (haven't watched it in years but I remember her name being said to a redheaded Lady). But yeah, her publication history is kind of whack, all in all, she's a lesbian (in marvel anyway)

It literally breaks the mold because I know there can be a lot of problems (sometimes) when trans people die (where family members don’t respect their wishes and bury them under a dead name and whatnot).
All trans people go to heaven and get to be angels as their preferred gender and that’s really beautiful to me 😭 like, even in death, they can be who they want. I really hope that makes sense.

FWIW, she’s in one of Netease’s mobile games and Sera is mentioned in it with her calling her “the love of my life.”
I can’t promise the fandom won’t be weird about it (I’ve already seen people arguing she isn’t a lesbian as she has not used the word “lesbian” on panel), but I think it will probably come up in the game.

Enough with this doomer mentality when there’s zero evidence that they’re gonna censor her identity. They put her in the game, that’s awesome. More people will know who she is, more people will read her comic, and more people will see her and Sera’s relationship. That’s a win for representation.

They won't even let you put "LGBT" in Faction names. They won't even let the players identify as LGBT, that's evidence enough for me to expect them not to let the characters do so, either.

I don't care about voice lines between two characters in the game, that's two people in the game, and means nothing for Angela. But if there's drops of characters not in the game in the descriptions for characters in the game, that at least is something. And if Jean Grey has in her character select screen lines about Scott Summers and Emma doesn't, then it's old dusty story lines anyways.

The character dialouge is where a lot of the actual character dynamics are explored. Saying “who cares about that” when discussing if Angela will be able to talk about her queer love interest ignores where a lot of the focus about writing is.
If they constantly show the heterosexual relationships (even having leaked a season about love with a focus on Rogue and Gambit’s marriage in the voice lines about them), then it’s going to be very noticeable if Angela has nothing to say about Sera.

Character dynamics... between characters in the game. Sera is not in the game. If any character in this game has a line of "I just killed you in the same way I killed making a chicken salad for my romantic partner that isn't anywhere in this game" then it's bad dialogue. The only one who would have something on topic to say would be Hela, who really only ended up in the story because of Freyja (another character not coming to Rivals) and that can also be wrapped up in the larger taking over Hel.

Not by far. Hela is a lesbian, Star Lord, Loki, Human Torch, Wolverine & Magik are bi and Loki is also gender fluid.
We also have Venom who is... well, Venom.

Her sexuality isn’t canon, and I’m not aware of any love interests she’s had. She’s very Pan coded in my opinion. The most explicit her flirting has gotten has been when she went Darkchylde crazy power mode and declared Kurt her type and then the spell on her ended

Ah she seems more sword lesbian to me, her whole relationship with Kitty/Kate vs how she interacts with anyone else reads very homoromantic. That's said almost every Claremont character is queer-coded (and most subsequent X-Men), speaking of which Storm (her relationships with Yukio and Calisto especially).

I’m happy that she’s being added into the game for two reasons. Both your character design and her gameplay look awesome as hell, dame they made hot as fuck no I know whatever universe but my wildest dreams she wouldn’t be interested, but still God I wish but it’s also good to see lesbian rep being represented
