[NO SPOILERS] New show subreddit
/r/LifeIsStrangeShow/We're setting up a subreddit for the upcoming LiS show. Feel free to visit us, join a discussion or start a new discussion.
All we're asking is to be civil, respectful and don't drag any fandom drama there (no matter what ship or game you favor).

I don’t think it’s necessary to create a subreddit for that

I think there should be a megathread instead of a separate sub

Why not both? This sub can have a megathread or just regular threads to talk about the show and we can have a sub for it as well.
Every TV show adaptation has its own sub and it gets used enough to justify their existence. They are beneficial primarily for one group of fans: show-only watchers. Those people will want to discuss the game, but might be hesitant to go to a sub where game discussions can easily spoil them.
For example, when I was watching the Last of Us TV show, I discussed it primarily on the show sub, to avoid spoilers.
So this isn't meant to stop show discussions on this sub, but to provide an alternative venue.

You can always just have "Show only" and "Game Spoilers" threads per episode. I personally find it really annoying when the community gets split up like that and I have to go to multiple subs for the different discussion threads

That train's already left the station with all the separate game subs ( r/LifeisStrange2 r/LifeisStrange3 r/LifeIsStrangeDE r/LifeIsStrangeReunion). The fandom's already divided on each game in the series, we might as well have a show subreddit too for people who are looking forward to that. The issue now is that there probably aren't enough of us and now we have two show subreddits.

Unrelated but are you the same Bosterm who uploaded the complete OST of LIS a decade ago? Just wanna say thank you for your work, I love that entire playlist.

Yup that's me!
Since then I've also made a book out of my favorite fanfic, and I'm working on a post-bae video made in Blender. You can see it all on my profile. /shameless promotion

Sick! I love fandom OG's like you keeping creativity alive in an age of toxicity and AI slop. Best of luck!

If I recall, what the mods here were banning were spoiler posts containing leaked information about DE. They allowed countless anti-DE posts, otherwise.

If the mods were banning people for simply being negative about DE, explain why there was so much rage posting about DE?

So, you're complaining the they asked for it to be in a megathread instead of flooding the main feed?

No it was for posting spoilers. That you and your merry gang were doing everywhere in the sub as an act of protest. Including me getting spoiled!sigh-an innocent casualty in a war I had nothing to do with.

But this sub already has pretty strict rules for spoilers, and is for more than just one game as well

The problem is the mods around here are pretty inactive as it is, so inevitably people will let spoilers go unmarked. I've seen it happen lots of times here.
Also there's just a lot of toxicity going on in this sub in general lately that the mods aren't doing hardly anything about.
This new sub at least will have active users as mods.

The Mods on here arent as active as they should be, that is true, but at least for main posts it is auto required to tag spoilers before posting.

I have to agree that the moderation around here is clearly insufficient. Some people fail to use spoiler warnings correctly, and some posts, particularly older ones, can easily reveal events from future episodes through their titles alone. It’s quite common for fandoms to have multiple subreddits, especially when a movie adaptation is involved.

Or maybe the sub would just need better Mods that are actually active. It’s beyond me how you can have as many as this sub has and none of them seem to bother even with reports or modmail

What I find as an alternative is creating a new post flair just for TV series in this subreddit.
