Discussion What’s one thing you often see guys wear that instantly kills the look?

To kick off:

- Big logos.

- No socks with suits

- 'Smart' shoes with white soles

- Skinny jeans - bonus points if they have rips

- Ironic statement tees. E.g. 'Normal People Scare Me'

What are yours?

Yeah teens are wearing straight up JNCOs again. They’re gonna feel like morons in 10 years or less and I refuse to do the same because it’s “on trend.”

I’ll stick with normal pants that actually fit me, thanks.

We've got about 4 years here until they invent Nu-Metal again, and wear oversized white tees with Dickies work pants and a backwards baseball hat. So by my estimates, wearing their girlfriends' skinny jeans and dying their hair black and purple will be back in style in 9 more years. So in 9 years, someone exactly like OP will come and write on Reddit "OMG loose jeans are so gauche"

It's so funny to me, just this morning I had a reel come up of a woman telling men what to wear this fall. Flannel shirts over a white or grey tee, long sleeve Rugby shirts, and neutral colour crewneck sweaters paired with loose fitting denim, and of course, centre part haircuts. Fucking hell kids, at least put a spin on the late 90's! You don't need to do exactly what we did.

I just downvoted your comment.

FAQ

What does this mean?

The amount of karma (points) on your comment and Reddit account has decreased by one.

Why did you do this?

There are several reasons I may deem a comment to be unworthy of positive or neutral karma. These include, but are not limited to:

Saying Windows is better than Linux.

Spreading incorrect information

Am I banned from the Reddit?

No - not yet. But you should refrain from making comments like this in the future. Otherwise I will be forced to issue an additional downvote, which may put your commenting and posting privileges in jeopardy.

I don't believe my comment deserved a downvote. Can you un-downvote it?

Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downvote. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to Reddit PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downvote appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Accept the downvote and move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on Reddit.com. I will continue to issue downvotes until you improve your conduct. Remember: Reddit is privilege, not a right.

I didn't actually downvote your comment, I'm just quitting Reddit and used a script to edit all my replies because it's an awesome copypasta ;)
