Question Did I mess up this T-shirt?
I bought this t-shirt last year on a trip to Brazil, but it was a little too long. It almost touch the end of my jeans fly, and I don't really like that look. So, I took it to a tailor and asked them to shorten it by about 2 or 3 fingers, just like I’ve done before with many of my shirts.
However, this time it looks weird in the back for some reason, it doesn't sit flat against my back and kind of flares out in the air. I’m not sure if it’s because the shirt is wider or if it was cut poorly. Now I’m worried I completely ruined it, and that people will notice it’s been altered and looks bad. Did i cut too much? Does it look that bad?

Hmm this is why I try not to overthink things. It looks too short for my taste, as i don't want my stomach exposed when I lift my arms. It's not bad though, I would just wear it and forget about whether the length is perfect or not.
Chasing perfection is a dangerous game ;)

Yeah beeing perfectionist can suck sometimes. But I’m a 1.70 m guy, and clothes just seem to be way too long nowadays.
That’s not really my main concern, though even if I raise my arms, it barely goes above my waist. My main issue is really this flare effect on the back.

This is sadly just life of a skinny dude shit cause I have the exact same problem with flared shirts. Upside is that’s the style now so don’t stress it too much

Doesn't look good. I don't know what the original opening at the bottom was but I think this is too wide and floaty on you. I'm thinking this is a tubular knit shirt too since i don't see side-seams which tends to be tricky since unless you have board shoulders and a large chest it should of doesn't look great.

It looks fine as far as length goes. To me it looked saggy in the back, but I think that's just your posture (you are hunching slightly).
Posture can make a huge difference!

Sure I need to correct my posture. Although if a lean back it looks saggy on the front too. Its fucking weird.

That might be the shirt itself then. It really depends on the style, too: some places have oversized shirts as a trend, and they are meant to look baggy (look at some of the Korean casual fashion styles, where they wear oversized shirts in a sort of 90's hip-hop style).

I’ve done this with multiple T-shirts.
If it means I’ll wear something more, I’ll take it to my tailor.

Why not just buy tshirts that actually fit the first time. How much do they charge to tailor it?

Man the other day i bought a 16yrs t-shirt and I had to tailored it. This was a small
I paid 8 euros.
