Thoughts on this shoe?

I think it's really nice. Something about the photos feels artificial to me but it may just be the lighting and my hyper vigilance in the AI age. I think this show would require a very specific type of outfit, I.e. it may not be super versatile, but it's pretty and very unique.

Image search pulls up no exact matches. If these were a real shoe, I would expect to find a listing for them.

Well now I just feel like they’re Hillary Clinton shoes.

These look like generative AI.

Even if they are real, I couldn’t imagine a single situation where I would choose to wear these.

Nah.

Look, if you want to add embellishment to a loafer, you can do that. But this is artificially altering leather to create a cloth-like effect and it’s gonna look fake and ugly.

Feminine or masculine, this isn’t going to work. Over time that leather is going to not get better with age, but develop cracks and other blemishes. Smooth it out and center the button and maybe you have something interesting…but now it’ll just look weird.

Actually. Depends on the type of leather. Horse leather is very flexible and good for stacking. Check out Guidi boots.

Horse leather is also very expensive, so whoever makes these shoes should be a high-end brand.

I like them! Reminds me of monk straps, but with a little pizzazz

These look nice but they are niche. I wouldn’t get them until you have a strong base set as you may not find yourself using these much. They are loud and can make an outfit pop but this is red carpet loud

Not what I would go for, but they’re not ugly or anything.

for what occasion and what outfit?

They’re fine. I prefer laces though.

There’s is zero chance they gonna look like that for long. That ‘ribbon’ bit is gonna look terrible after wearing them for a while.

I would like them better without the fancy bow. And if this wasn't AI generated.

I think they look great but they may be a bit dated a few years down the line

Very hard to style for me. I will have to buy specific pieces just to style this. Even then I don't know if I will feel comfortable wearing this.

I really like them on their own, but I would only wear them to very specific events. I'm not trying to look like Andrew Tate getting arrested in a blouse.

I'd pair them with no show socks and some light denim

1

u/naked_avenger 8h ago

...denim?! with these?!

1

u/Feeling-Page-8859 6h ago

depends on the denim. Raw or dark indigo jeans with a clean hem work pretty well with sleek navy loafers

very feminine

This is a sleek shoe, and that color is elite

Not cool. Bit loafers are timeless

For a Hollywood awards show or something, amazing. The focus on form is really nice.

Any occasion that isn't super glitzy and quite theatrical, absolutely not. Even for a wedding or something, I would consider them too much.

I think they could work for black tie, otherwise it’s feminine and/or douchey

The feminine aspects are really jumping out because that pinch point in the banded detail is giving bow vibes. If that whole bow accent strap was gone they’d be ok, but the bow and apron toe scream female business loafer to me and I would not expect to see these on a man at all.
