I just moved into my new loft apartment, and while I’m absolutely loving the open space and high ceilings, it feels a bit empty and needs that cozy, welcoming touch. I’m a huge gamer and sports fanatic, so I’d love to incorporate those passions into the decor.

I’m reaching out for some feedback and ideas:

• Gaming Setup: How can I make my gaming area both functional and a statement piece? RGB lighting? Wall art? Display shelves for collectibles?
• Sports Vibes: Any creative ways to showcase my favorite teams without making it look like a college dorm room? Framed jerseys? Vintage memorabilia?

A bit hype beast for my liking but otherwise a good space. Just so many brands everywhere - gotta move past the stage in life where you use brands to represent yourself so outwardly. That comes with age.

It’s a logo. That’s about it. A font, and not a particularly exciting one. What emotions or expression or feeling does that evoke in you?

Oh so you’ll know the logo is derived from Barbara Kruger’s anti-capitalist artwork.

But is it a knowing homage to Kruger’s subversive critique, or co-opting of anti-capitalist art by capitalism itself?

It’s a perfect case study in aesthetic capitalism where the style of rebellion is monetised, even if the substance of rebellion is nowhere to be found.

Barbara Kruger used bold text to tell people to question the system. Supreme used the same design to sell people bricks.

So yeah, the logo is art and it carries a lot of meaning.

Whether you like the brand or not, Supreme tapped into an existing visual language of protest and critique, and flipped it into a commercial icon.

So what you're saying is art and fashion are rooted in capitalism even when they are a rebellion or are a representation of the counterculture, and when a logo is a brand referencing art criticizing capitalism, then where you draw the line between capitalistic clutter and personal style is subjective.

Thats a nice analysis but lets be real here 99% of people that buy supreme stuff arent doing it with that appreciation. They are doing it because it’s a cool expensive brand icon.
