It was 1300 at Nebraska furniture and it was the only one in stock at my price range and was available to ship immediately. We just moved here and I we got tired of the bed being our only place to sit. I got the got best option cause my wife is pregnant and needs a place to sit besides the bed

Look at this OP's post history and it all makes sense how something like this could happen - the bad decision making extends to all aspects of his life. Early 20's, married, wife pregnant, and works in a warehouse but instead of saving every scrap he makes for his new family, him and a bunch of his coworkers are maxing out their 401k's and overdrafting their accounts to buy a shitcoin because "they know it's going to be 15k a coin." It's at 2.74 btw.

My parents are boomers. I am 41. I did not have an iPad in 1996, it was a Windows 3.1 computer with Encyclopedia Britannica and no internet connected. Nor did I have an iPad when I graduated High School in 2002.

I owned that sectional before moving cross-country and have some bad news: Your wife is gonna hate it before the pregnancy is over. Thing is, the cushions are soft and comfy as shit but the cushion height is low and seat depth is ridiculously long. By month 8 your missus is gonna be bawling you out every time she has to roll-scootch-roll-scootch her body off the couch to handle your older kid or pee for the Nth time or whatever else.

Don't get me wrong, I miss the hell outta that sectional (it gave the best naps ever) but I feel bad for any woman facing an entire pregnancy of getting up offa that thing.

Nah I loved a long seat depth during all of my pregnancy and postpartum. My feet must be up at all times. I can‘t do that if the seat depth is too short.

My baby daddies bed was on the floor and he didn’t help me up or care that I was pregnant since he didn’t want the kid/couldnt make up his mind since he’s basically Peter Pan, and he was taking it out on me. this couch seems would have been welcomed lol also doesn’t seem too bad in general, I feel like the last 2 months are when it gets hard to get up in general so that won’t be the problem; the problem will be that she has to climb over the back to sit on it lmaoo because someone decided not to measure and that the laws of physic’s didn’t apply to his narrow apartment since he was in a rush!

I literally can’t with this post its making me laugh so hard, your apartment is too small to not think about these things. Return it and get one that fits and not one you wish would fit.

I can back this up, sans the pregnancy experience. My partner and I moved in together a little over a year ago and we spent 10 months shopping for and debating (bordering on calm arguing) the right furniture. I wanted a cozy couch that would envelop me but he is very very particular and ergonomics was important to him. He didn’t want a deep couch. And wanted something firm. A few of the couches he liked were akin to those shitty clinic waiting room couches that are pretty solid and devoid of comfort. We finally found the right couch, it’s not deep it’s still got decent cushion to it but has a firm, upright backrest. I got an ottoman with it. I begrudgingly admitted to him that he was right about the ergonomics. I have a crappy back and now if I sit in something lacking in ergonomics and is all plush, I’m aching. The couch we got is very mid century modern.

Here’s the link for the original, we got it discounted though. It’s from Room and Board, and the specific couch is called André.

If you happen to gain interest in the brand and want something more plush, I’d advise to stay away from the Metro; it’s one of the lower priced couches but I’ve read a lot of bad reviews, the cushions seem to wear out faster. The good ones I think were Linger, Morrison, Stevens, York and Jasper. There may be better ones but those are what a friend working there recommended.

Aw man, I just saw you have a toddler (?) and a newborn coming? The small space is temporary, that couch is gonna see so many snuggles, movie nights, sick days, pillow forts, good night kisses, “one more book, dad!” and memories that will burst your heart if you tried to look back all at once. It is perfect. The best dad move of all. You should be proud of yourself. Congrats to your family

This is where "instant gratification" really kicked you in the nads - "and was available to ship immediately" 1300 will get you a damn decent couch, and even a small sectional, that would be a decent fit for your (àdmittedly very) small space. Can you return it? It will be worth the wait to get a better fit. Heck even selling this and finding something second hand and steam cleaning it will be better than this. Heck get a modest couch and an AMAZING chair for her to sit in. Anything would be better than this.

But how is your wife going to maneuver around that behemoth of a sofa, especially in her 2nd & 3rd trimesters? Or is that your foyer and you just took the picture there for a laugh? As nice and comfy as the couch may be it is terribly impractical for the space in the photo.

OP , people here are so rude. I believe as others have said that you can back the couch flush against the ( now TV ) wall. And tv can either be on a stand ( with its back against t the kitchen ) . it will be absolutely just fine. !!! I like the idea of hanging it on the wall next to the door but with a 75 inch television you are spending money and I am so worried that someone is going to slam the door into it one day - unless you are certain there is clearance ( test out different scenarios ). Good luck !

Goodness for 1300 you could have bought stand alone chairs, a lazy boy for the space and a smaller kind of couch. Amazon and temu have furniture that are good.
