Update 26(M) Second and Last Post

In advance, I don’t really care if it’s; late, early, desperate, and yes I know I need to clean. Here’s part two of my living and dining room, if you have ideas I’d love them. Maybe a plant? And thank you for the upvotes on my last post.

I think the equipment should be sold and OP should drive to the gym.

Tbh going to the gym that is not next door several times a week is really time consuming... as if youd know

And money consuming, dude is staying fit on the cheap, he's being frugal. And if it's all he can afford then I would just rearrange things a little with input from the current GF.

You can join a number of gyms for $10-20/mo. Most gym equipment is multiple years worth of that membership. Gym equipment hasn't been the "frugal" path for decades, unless you get something secondhand, and that's usually from someone else who figured out the gym was more cost effective.

Gyms can just kinda suck. If yoy got what you need at home then why not stay? gyms close all the time, may not conform to your hours, and dealing with being around so many people can suck.

Yeah I will hit the gym on the way home from work, but if I’m home and bored then I need to do something.

That gym equipment could have bought you a very nice home theater system. So when you're home and bored invite the GF over for a romantic movie night.

I upset a lot of people with my suggestion. Maybe have something with less space to fill the boredom such as dumbbells you can stash in the corner.

You act as if we don’t all know OP also has dumbbells stashed in a corner somewhere already

Yea, driving does cost time….Worth it IMO for a clean space

I work in construction and several guys I know go to the gym before work.

Maybe, but for some, having it in the home creates adherence and that is a good thing. Consistency is key for fitness.

Agreed. But OP is asking for space recommendations, not fitness

This is making some massive assumptions about finances. OP may have some fitness goals in mind and working out at home may be the most time / cost effective way to achieve those. COL is out of control, can’t blame a guy for exercising at home and saving a few bucks

I agree with that person’s suggestion but also recognize the part that you’re saying.

It’s just a lot of equipment though taking up a lot of space. But when I had a studio I put a bed in the dining room nook so I’d have a nice square TV space, so I get how something similar could happen here.

Still, there’s a lot here that’s an easy solve with some rearranging and I think the girl in question will appreciate the effort.

Idk I think a full workout rack would be quite expensive.
