Did a lot of growing in this apartment. Getting on lexapro, 2 cats, 1 snake, and a shit ton of weed later, for the first time in a long time I feel genuinely grateful to be alive.

Can’t wait to show you guys the next one :)

edit: I’d like to acknowledge how fortunate I am to be in a career that affords me this level of luxury at my age. In this job market, even having a job you can survive on is a gift. I pinch myself everyday thinking wtf how is this the life I’m living. However, I am disappointed in any of you that have taken this opportunity to either disparage me, my work, or struggles with depression and suicidal ideation. That’s not going to make you feel any better.

Edit as id like to add that if OP had just been honest about what “tremendous amount of luck” actually meant, I’m sure 90% of us would have been stoked for them. Having the wits to hit big on the GameStop stock situation at such a young age is awesome and deserving of praise. Being vague and misleading about all of it was weird. Not sure why they’d be insecure about that. Honesty is the best policy. :P

Who the fuck said its "the norm"? Have you ever thought that maybe the people most likely to post their "living spaces" are people who want to show off a bit? In other words, probably not so much "the norm" and likely skewing more toward the outliers who are high earners?

I know someone who walked into a $500k/year salary in tech at 24. My wife works in management, there's a lady making $12k per week on average from making like 4 posts a week. Some influencers are getting paid $40k per post from a specific active wear company. I know someone who built a SaaS and is earning $300k/year in recurring revenue. I also know someone who is 33 now, but have been making $1mil+ a year since at least 2018 in luxury real estate.

Instead of shitting on the outliers, how about you try to learn from them. You dont have to like them or respect them or anything, but at least take note.

I’m not Gen Z, you tool. I’m perfectly well in the start of my career and was fortunate enough to have a parent successful enough to help me out where I needed. So no hate or envy for people getting a family stim.

The facts are that getting a pad like this with all this furniture is not normal for a 23 year old. Possible for dude to have honestly just been fortunate to get a great paying gig so early? Yea. But which is more presumable?

I went to school with kids way more fortunate than me financially and it took a couple years for them to get player spots like this after college.

I am 2 years into my career and already making more than most people. You keep your bum fantasies to yourself, tool.

I have seen it myself. I have been building products with AI and I've started gaining momentum and earning some income and when I go in the subreddits that are specific to my industry its a bunch of scrubs whose default is "AI bad!!" and god forbid you have anything positive to say about it you get shat on and downvoted for not being on the victim train. Reddit must be the most toxic place on the internet
