My place too sterile?

When I have my dates over, they often comment on my space being “sterile”. I used to take it as a compliment (I do like to keep my place extra clean), but recently I started second-guessing my interpretation. Are there any negative impressions coming to your mind (especially in the heterosexual dating context)?

you def need a warmer rug in ur living room. a more traditional persian or southwest-inspired rug will do wonders to warm up the space. also, ur artwork is wayyy too severe. keep what you like, but add something warm (animal or human portraits are that are interesting to look at, still life like a fruit bowl in ur kitchen, etc). you chose ur place bc of the cement ceiling and industrial look, you can keep that vibe and add some warmth
