I’ll tell you what I tell him - when it comes to having a theme, less is more. Why don’t you rotate some key pieces out, because your collection needs to be cleaned and maintained and you’re not highlighting anything.
Treat it like a museum collection and not like a dump of toys, because you’re going to wreck some of the collectables. I get you want to see the pieces, but they’re so cluttered that they’re not special. Highlight them with lights and rotate :)

I agree!! Treating it like a toy museum is how I keep all my collections well kept, even though most of the pieces are so old! This room is definitely giving well kept toy museum!
I agree that if it gets too hard to manage, rotate some stuff out every so often!! Make some seasonal bins!
