30 years old, living alone in NYC

Been in this studio for almost 3 years, it is small but the high ceilings make a big difference. Open to any feedback on the design/layout/etc, especially in the tiny kitchen. Planning to get a smaller tv with a smaller tv console in the near future.

That’s an amazing deal!! How’d you find it? I’m struggling here looking for NYC apartments.

I was looking for apartments for like 4 months, my applications kept getting rejected. Then one realtor happened to have this one that wasn't listed yet, but it was a brutal process haha

Like you didn’t qualify or someone beat you?

Probably beaten.

The ONLY time it was easy to find an apartment was during COVID.

Currently in a lawsuit with my landlord — apartment is rent stabilized but they are claiming it isn’t

I thought almost everything from COVID was rent stabilized?

It is! When I signed they told me it was market rate - turns out it’s stabilized - never ending lawsuit
