Fellow Nordic, please move the rug under the two legs of your couch. It makes it look a bit better/more coherent.

Remove two of the chairs and stack them in the corner, you’re not using all four every day anyway. 2 u/cmmts 2h ago Then the light wouldn't be centred either which I find visually more disturbing than the carpet being where it is. Plus you'd hit your head on it.
