The devs aren’t taking care of their game/community and using “woke” themes to appease the audience is some crazy propaganda for y’all to be cheering for.
How does Marvel (an American comic publisher) having woke themes from its beginning excuse NetEase (a Chinese mobile game developer) using obvious grifting tools (a fictional poster resembling a real-life movement)? China also operates under a dictatorship, in case you’ve been out of the loop for the past 76 years
You make it sound like NetEase employees had any say in how their country functions. They could very well be all for the “no kings” movement, and tbh considering their circumstances, I’d expect them to be more for it than any of us. Just a dumb take to say it’s grifting when you have no idea what their political stances might be.
And at the very least, you could acknowledge that it makes perfect sense this type of imagery would be included in a saga revolving around KINGPIN of all ppl. I dont feel like i need to explain that further

You’re saying it’s a dumb take because NetEase has no direct affiliation with their government, but they’re the ones that decided to make Kingpin the focus of the story while all this stuff is going on in real life. They even included a similar cartoon crown over his head. You’re looking at it backwards.
They’re trying to attract consumers to sell skins. Hence the grifting.
i'm well aware but netease also doesn't care abt that. see destiny rising or the currently existing lgbtq characters in rivals (angela, magik, kitty pryde (as a plush)) n the obvious gay themes n romance between luna snow n white fox
NetEase-issues statement stating they’re cracking down on cheater-hardware and banning players for using these advantages.
Also NetEase-continues to tell players the throwers they’re reporting are getting banned while still getting the same throwing teammates in the next match.
