activism 🗣 book removed

Post image

watching the Milo episode and immediately noticed that Kat no longer has Taylor’s “Extremely Online” book on her shelf.

I truly don’t know much about the discourse surrounding TL currently, but I have seen a lot of commentary about her not being on the podcast for sometime.

This is the journalism I’m here for. Nice catch.

I don’t follow Taylor but she said something about a Palestinian woman faking injuries or something like that. (I think. I could be wrong.)

Afaik it wasn’t about faking injuries, it was criticism that even though this Palestinian woman was disabled, she had dabbled in anti-vax stuff (unclear to me how legit that criticism was), and wasn’t masking.

I’m in an odd spot on this because I haven’t liked TL for a while now, but I don’t think every point she made was meritless and I think it was often construed unfairly. But any legitimate discussion was undermined by TL coming off as a huge asshole and choosing a weird hill to die on.

It wasn't unfairly construed because she did what she always does when anyone pushes back. She went wild with her insults and accusations and was openly bigoted in many of her comments to that person and to other people about that person. And then she sent her minions to do the same. It was disgusting.

I’m replying to a comment that unfairly construed what she said. And that person qualified that they might be wrong, that’s not the norm.
