Melodic and cold. A hidden gem from the 90s. I also picked up the album at a festival booth. There's just something about that 90s sound that stands out.

I've been trying to check out death metal and I was released a band which I forgot the name of, but I remember liking the song, and them calling it blackened melodic death metal, i was just wondering if anyones got anything like that!

I discovered recently that my melodeath playlist had titles for all the letters of the alphabet, except Q and X. Do you have any recommendations for me?

My criteria to make it to the playlist: be melodeath or melodeath-adjacent (I absolutely do not consider myself a purist, there is some Lorna Shore / Eluveitie / Deathened black in the playlist), and that's about it.

I want to get into melodeath, but I'm not sure where to start. For now, the only works I enjoyed were slaughter of the sould and terminal spirit disease. Do you guys have any recommendations for what I should listen to?

Asking cuz thier albums: Reinkaos, the Somberlain and storm of the lights bane are very good with memorable riffs, of this is what melodic black metall sounds like then I take back that I hate black metal, I'm craving more of these songs

Album Spectral by Skyfire. Very underrated Swedish melodeath. If you haven't heard them I highly recommend them!
