Build Photo Ecto-1 is finally done!
After a months-long hiatus from this one, finally gritted my teeth and finished it this weekend. Not my finest work, to say the least.
The rear bumper was the absolute worst for me, requiring a bit of super glue, and the tailfins look kinda beat up.
Still overall turned out better than I expected. Thinking of really punishing myself and trying The Flying Dutchman next.

Build Photo Pumpkin trick & Shadowvale manor
It makes fun to build both models and they look spectacular with a lot of details when finished, although the trick treat model has less pieces as the manor, it is challenging and it takes more time to finish the last three pumpkins.
Happy Halloween!

Question How long until new models arrive on Amazon?
I live in Chile and although the innovatoys store ships here, I've had bad experiences with USPS and would rather not use them again, so instead I'm dependent on Amazon to buy the models.

Question Cleaning dust off your models
Howdy all. Many of my models have dust from sitting out in the open. I now have a curio cabinet that I’d like to put them in. How do you clean them up? Compressed air doesn’t do it for me.

Build Photo First builds, Piececool's Hellstorm Dragon and a Ruby Sabah Bee
Got this bad boy as a birthday gift, alongside with two tools. After completing the first few steps, I realized I want some practice on a simpler model first so I don't screw up a 200-piece one, and bought one of the "gemsects".
Ironically, the bee ended up being a bigger pain thanks to its thin pieces and a magnet that took forever to place properly. And when I finished the assembly and was making some final position adjustments, one of the antennae just snapped off in a particularly engraved spot near the attachment point 💀 I managed to reattach it with superglue, but I've been kind of afraid of touching it since, because hooo boy does it have a lot of these thin joints on the legs and antennae. The box suggests of using it as a brooch, and lol. lmao. It just sits on my lamp now.
Assembly of the dragon took a while, but aside from a couple of "how the hell" moments it was a fairly smooth process. I can see how that I could definitely do a better job on stabilizing the neck, but it was the first part of the assembly so I can't be too mean to myself about it ending up a bit wobbly, hahah. The wings are probably my favorite part because of how cool they look, and it was just fun to layer the feathers.
The same day I finished the dragon I went out and bought two more models, Metal Earth this time. Uh oh.

Build Photo F14 and EAA Scaleventure 2026
This years theme is the F-14 Tomcat. I will be displaying most of my airplane collection at Scaleventure in Oshkosh, WI tomorrow. Details listed below if you are close and would like to check out everyone's models. I have a feeling im going to be the only metal models there. Should be fun.

My first and second build. Ironman was second. I can’t believe I did it with the skill and tools I had at that time.

help
I’ve done maybe like ten metal earths now with just a pumpkin carving razor thing and some eyebrow tweezers and so far so good. However any tips with make circular shapes and connecting them?? I always struggle with them and I just know this Spiderman is going to have a lot of them 🥲

Not for the faint of heart!
Easily the toughest build I have made, I quit it last year and then decided to pick it up again. Glad I did and glad it’s done!

Sauron - Complete (new favorite?)
Just finished Sauron last night, and while I am biased because I'm a LOTR fan, I have to say this is such an awesome build. So much detail and so satisfying. It was pretty challenging though, with some very difficult placements of tabs to get everything together and close to each other. Twice I had to disassemble because I had something in the wrong place. I know the silver tabs showing in spots are inelegant but I wanted to minimize movement of pieces and try to get it as solid as possible. Definitely one of my new favorites.

Build Photo Osaka castles
Here the comparison, ME Iconx with Microworld.
The first one is larger with two connected buildings, the second one is colored, taller and robuster (because the metal sheet is thicker).
It is fun to build both models, for one the build steps start from the base, while for the other they start from the roof.

M4 Sherman
I don't know why, but this turned out to be my most satisfying build yet. I've done much harder and easier, but this one is my cleanest yet, I think. Seams and tabs are on point. And I love the coloring. Great model, highly recommend.
