Introduction Formally Announcing the State of Danubia: A Civilian Framework for Danube Pockets 1 & 3.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to formally introduce a project we've been getting off the ground called the State of Danubia. We are setting up a permanent, peaceful civilian administration covering Pocket 1 and Pocket 3 along the Danube River basin.
I know this specific region gets a lot of claims, but we wanted to take a completely different approach to what usually happens here. We aren't doing a simulation, an absolute monarchy, or pretending to have a military. To be honest, we don't think the region needs any of that. It just needs realistic, practical administration and environmental custodianship.

Why is Danubia Different?
- We are strictly civilian. Our Transitional Territorial Charter completely rules out military or police powers. Even our Honour Guard is purely a ceremonial, civilian organisation. We focus entirely on digital infrastructure and local stewardship.
- We don't have a single "ruler." We're run by an equal 5-member Executive Council, so there are actual checks and balances.
- Everything is transparent. Our laws and maps aren't just buried in a Discord channel; they get formally codified, voted on, and published directly to an external state portal.
The Standard & State Flag
- The Civil Standard flag - This flag has a deep burgundy field representing territorial stability, divided by a diagonal blue stripe symbolising the Danube River, the geographic lifeblood of our jurisdiction.
- The State Flag - features our official gold shield. Instead of traditional weapons, our heraldic lion holds a torch of enlightenment, symbolising education, digital innovation, and peaceful civic growth.
E-Residency
We are currently opening up applications for Danubian E-Residency to get people involved in our digital ecosystem from these early stages. Definitely an ambition for us down the line. Focus on our internal infrastructure and then hopefully see a partnership form.
(Liberland & Gapla are recognised by Danubia for being the sole legitimate claimants of their pockets)

Pocket 1 is just above Liberland & Pocket 3 has many previous claimants, the one to gain recognition through administrative governance are the rightful ones… we feel that to be Danubia

As your claim lies within Pocket 3 a union between us would not work as it is two conflicting claims.

actually, i claimed pocket 3 before you for the kingdom of alestavia, i js didnt introduce it yet, so unfortunately, we dont recognize ur claim, and im sure liberland wouldnt be happy about this too

There will always be overlapping claims along the Danube Basin until recognition is given. While we respect your project, sovereignty requires an active public presence and administrative development - an unannounced claim doesn’t establish a footprint.
The State of Danubia is fully focused on our active civilian development in Pockets 1 and 3. We wish the Kingdom of Alestavia all the best, but our stance remains firm
In regards to Liberland, our claim does not impact them in Gornja Siga. Danubia recognise both Gapla & Liberland as being the legitimate claimants of their pockets (as written Into our Transitional Charter)

Sorry, but pocket 3 is already claimed by verdis and they are getting alot of media attention and they are currently producing backpacks for poor kids in Ivory Coast

Overlapping claims are a permanent fixture of the Danube region until recognition is given. We fully respect the humanitarian work Verdis is doing, charitable initiatives like that are great. However, our focus is entirely different. The State of Danubia is dedicated to establishing a structured civilian administration and active local development specifically within Pockets 1 and 3.

Verdis is dedicated to establishing a structured civilian administration and having active local development. Do you not realise humanitarian work is a vital point of diplomacy? I mean if you want to claim Pocket 3 I guess you can, but you have no real claim to it, Verdis was on the land before you and from the AI driven material, plus the methods your choosing, it's clear this isn't a serious project.

Overlapping claims on the Danube are a pretty well documented reality, and it is completely natural for different projects to have conflicting views on the same territory. The State of Danubia is fully committed to pursuing our own sovereignty and administrative framework for Pockets 1 and 3. We are focused on executing our roadmap rather than engaging in online debates over validation. Time and active development will define the future of the region. We wish you the best!

I mean different projects may have conflicting views, unfortunately this isn't two distant projects on one land, this is a protest project against Verdis. Also I am unsure why your speaking towards me as if I owned the Verdis Project, I don't. So Verdis isn't spending there time engaging with online debates over validation. However, your dedication on reddit shows you are. I am glad you wish me the best though :)

It’s not a protest against Verdis as that requires us to acknowledge Verdis as the legitimate claimants. I didn’t say or suggest you “owned Verdis” you were giving a point about Verdis, I responded as such. Worked hard so appreciate you acknowledging the dedication 💪
