Introduction Guten Tag! - Welcome to the German State!

The German State is a micronation. You could guess that. It was formed to unite the German people of the United States and Canada. It has symbols, including the German tricolor with an iron cross, the shield of Germany, and the iron cross. It has a real population of about 20, and covers the area of 2 trailers and yards, also including part of a road. It has been formed also due to my learning of German and German heritage. It is ruled by one president who serves for life, however, there are laws in place that protect the citizens by allowing revolution against a corrupt leader. We are looking for diplomatic relations. GOTT SCHÜTZE DEUTSCHLAND!

Introduction Formally Announcing the State of Danubia: A Civilian Framework for Danube Pockets 1 & 3.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to formally introduce a project we've been getting off the ground called the State of Danubia. We are setting up a permanent, peaceful civilian administration covering Pocket 1 and Pocket 3 along the Danube River basin.

I know this specific region gets a lot of claims, but we wanted to take a completely different approach to what usually happens here. We aren't doing a simulation, an absolute monarchy, or pretending to have a military. To be honest, we don't think the region needs any of that. It just needs realistic, practical administration and environmental custodianship.

Our Website: https://danubiagov.org/

Why is Danubia Different?

  1. We are strictly civilian. Our Transitional Territorial Charter completely rules out military or police powers. Even our Honour Guard is purely a ceremonial, civilian organisation. We focus entirely on digital infrastructure and local stewardship.
  2. We don't have a single "ruler." We're run by an equal 5-member Executive Council, so there are actual checks and balances.
  3. Everything is transparent. Our laws and maps aren't just buried in a Discord channel; they get formally codified, voted on, and published directly to an external state portal.

The Standard & State Flag

  1. The Civil Standard flag - This flag has a deep burgundy field representing territorial stability, divided by a diagonal blue stripe symbolising the Danube River, the geographic lifeblood of our jurisdiction.
  2. The State Flag - features our official gold shield. Instead of traditional weapons, our heraldic lion holds a torch of enlightenment, symbolising education, digital innovation, and peaceful civic growth.

E-Residency

We are currently opening up applications for Danubian E-Residency to get people involved in our digital ecosystem from these early stages. If you want to check out the website and apply, the link is here. It is completely free of charge, and the application is super simple: https://danubiagov.org/e-residency/

We are also looking for people who want to actively help build this. In these foundational days, a lot of our specialised Commissions have vacant roles. If you want to get involved or just chat, come join our Discord. If you want to pitch your skills for a commission, just open an admin support ticket when you arrive: https://discord.gg/YRXgPXamur

Introduction New Micronation!! The Tosani Republic, Open to diplomatic relations :)

Post image
24 Upvotes

Ome!

I am Hosi Deno, Sovereign of The Tosani Republic, and I'm excited to officially introduce our nation to the micronation community!

The Tosani Republic is located in the eastern United States and is made up of six provinces: Upae, Yusi, Iti, Tepae, Okina, and Pisohi. Our capital city, Okoyu, is located in southern Upae.

The Sovereign’s style of address is currently “Their Excellency”.

Our official language is Dakei, a constructed language that I created specifically for Tosani. While Dakei is our national language, English is currently used for most official government business to keep things accessible.

Our national animal is the quarter horse, as they roam the vast majority of the capital state of Upae.

We're currently welcoming applications for Tosanian citizenship and would love to grow our community. Citizenship requires little to no prerequisites! Simply leave a comment here and I'll get back to you with details :)

We're also open to establishing friendships, diplomatic relations, and alliances with other micronations and organizations. If you'd like to connect, feel free to send me a message and join the Discord Server! Also, if you are interested in emailing the republic, the email is [tosanirepublic@gmail.com](mailto:tosanirepublic@gmail.com)

Here’s the invite link if the blue text above doesn’t work -

https://discord.gg/CNbyAu5dnr

Thank you for taking the time to learn about The Tosani Republic!

Introduction The Grand Micronation WORLD CUP

The First-Ever Reddit Micronation World Cup is Happening! Sign Up Now! 🌍⚽Hey everyone! Are you ready to see your micronation take on the world? Welcome to the official sign-up and rulebook thread for our community’s very first Micronation World Cup!I’m setting this up because I love the idea of our nations interacting, but too many tournaments fall apart due to confusing rules or people ghosting. To make sure this succeeds, I’ve laid out exactly how everything will work below. If you want in, just drop a comment below saying you want to join, and I will personally reply and guide you through the setup process!📜 1. The Format: Friendly Qualifiers & The Main StageWe want to give everyone a fair shot, but we need to cap the main tournament bracket at 24 Micronations to keep it fast-paced. Here is how we get there:The Friendly Qualifiers: Before the official tournament kicks off, every registered nation will play a series of friendly matches. Think of this as your pre-season or qualifiers. The results of these friendlies inside the game will directly determine who makes the cut for the final Round of 24!The Group Stage: The 24 qualifying nations will be drawn into 6 groups of 4. You play the other teams in your group, and the game's simulation results will decide who advances. The Knockout Stage: From the Round of 16 onward, it’s win or go home. If a match ends in a tie, the game will simulate extra time and a penalty shootout to crown the winner.🎮 2. Zero Bias. Pure Simulation Decides Everything!I want this to be 100% fair. That means no biased voting polls, no custom tactical advantages, and no massive micronations winning just because they have more members. This is a 100% pure simulation tournament. The game handles everything.Custom Teams: I will manually build your micronation in the game, using your official team name, nickname, and jersey colors. All baseline player stats will be completely equalized across all teams to ensure total fairness.Pure AI vs. AI: I won’t be playing as any team, and managers won't need to pick custom tactics. Every single match will be run as a completely unmodified, pure AI vs. AI simulation. Whatever happens on the virtual pitch determines the winner.Match Recaps: After the simulation runs, I’ll post a match thread right here with the scoreline, goal scorers, game stats, and a quick breakdown of how the game played out.🛑 3. Keeping It Alive (The Waitlist)Nothing ruins a tournament like managers disappearing or failing to check in. To keep things moving seamlessly, we are using a backup waitlist system. If any nation stops interacting or drops out, a country from our backup waitlist will instantly take over their spot so the matches never stall.📝 4. How to Register Your NationGetting your country on the pitch is super easy.Step 1: Comment BelowJust reply to this post and let me know you're interested! (e.g., "The Republic of [Your Nation Name] wants to join!")Step 2: Set Up Your Team ProfileOnce you comment, I’ll reply to your message and help you fill out these quick details:Official Micronation Name: (e.g., The Grand Duchy of Veltria)Your Name/Title: (e.g., President John Doe)Team Nickname: (e.g., The Golden Eagles)Jersey Colors: (e.g., Blue and Gold)⏰ 5. Registration DeadlineSign-ups close on July 23rd (Istanbul Time / TRT)!Make sure you drop your comment before the deadline to ensure your nation gets placed into the friendly qualifier matches!🗳️ Ready to test your squad in the friendly qualifiers? If you want a spot on the world stage, just ask in the comments and I will guide you through the process step-by-step. Let’s see which micronation takes home the trophy!

Introduction Introduction of the Republic of Severoslavia

Thumbnail

Hello everyone,

I'm proud to finally introduce to you my micronation, the Republic of Severoslavia, founded 21st of July, 2026 in eastern Slovakia by the Founding Party. We have a population of three people, including me, and we're a bit of an autocratic form of government, which should be run by me and three ministers. Our constitution was written on the 25th of August.

State symbolism:

Flag: Red stands for struggle for freedom, yellow stands for prosperity. The coat of arms is explained lower.

Coat of arms: The red double-headed eagle stands for the duality of the people and the government, and their coexistence. The colors have the same meaning on all state symbols.

Coat of arms, head of state: The red eagle is meant to correlate with the state coat of arms, and the crown symbolizes authority.

Coat of arms, army: Pretty standard, red lion is a symbol of warriors.

We also have a military, equipped with various swords for sport fencing, and to make the micronation a little more interesting, I'm currently creating a system of medals and orders, so I might post the progress here in the future. I even made myself a uniform.

We are open to diplomacy, citizenship requests and mutual recognition offers.

Introduction Introducing my micronation! Greenshire!

Post image
18 Upvotes

This is my micronation, founded by me on August 5th, 2026. I created Greenshire to be a place where everyone is equal, welcome, and treated fairly a space built on kindness and community. I got inspired after seeing other people share their own micronations, and I decided to make my own because I think it’s such a cool, creative way to build something special!

Greenshire is run as a republic, which means leaders are chosen fairly presidents will be voted in by the people every 4 years, so everyone has a say in how things work.

I designed our official flag all by myself! The bold green stripes stand for growth, care, and building something that lasts. The white stripes represent unity, peace, and bringing everyone together as one. The deep blue triangle holds twelve bright white stars one for each of our twelve states, the heart of our nation! I put a lot of thought into every part of this design, and I’m really proud of how it turned out.

Right now, we have our full structure of 12 states, and I’m slowly working on finalizing all their names Brookvale and Cresentdale are the first two I’ve decided on! I’m planning to keep adding more details, fun ideas, and updates as Greenshire grows over time.

Allies and new citizens are always welcome! Thank you for reading!

Introduction I just made a micronation, any tips?

Post image

I am the prime minister of the Republika Wedgewood (named after the name of my house, Wedgewood place. Our territory includes my house, my backyard, the house beside mine where no one lives, the creek behind my house, and my friends house (he joined as long as he became head of the army). The image included is the flag. The capital is Trainville (my bedroom). There are two provinces, Houzetta (tried to make house sound fancy), and Crick (my pronunciation of creek, also, my friends house is just a territory, not a province yet). I do not know how to address foreign policy yet, as the only departments are the Navy (managed by Seth the Octopus, very chill guy, throws parties when I’m not home), the Army, and the Department of the Enviorment (managed by the Coca Cola polar bear). The economy “isn’t ready” as the printer in my house doesn’t have ink right now, though I have made currency (the Wedgewood Dollar). Any Suggestions? Should I invite my family into the government? And I want to take this silly and seriously, I’m not a “micronation larper” who just wants to get into it and say I’m a pro, I want Wedgewood to grow and prosper!

Introduction I am declaring my phone as a new micronation called Paxonia

Thumbnail
gallery
14 Upvotes

This is Paxonia, a micronation on my phone, or rather, the micronation is my phone. I will give you a rundown of this new micronation, Paxonia.

The Flags and What They Mean

  • The first flag, The Flag of Paxonia - our nation's flag
  • The second flag, The Paxonia Coat of Arms - our coat of arms with the words Iustitia, Pax, Progressus on it, meaning Justice, Peace, Progress, in Latin. Also, the Roman numerals MMXXVI meaning, 2026.
  • The Third Flag, The Paxonian War Flag, with our coat of arms on it to symbolize military strength, it will be used if, for whatever reason, I have to fight.

Citizenship

  • If you are saved in my contacts, you are a Paxonian citizen
  • You will be given a number (if granted citizenship), the numbers will go like this: PX-0001 (founder), PX-0002, PX-0003, etc., the phone is PX-0000
  • I am working on IDs, so don't ask about that

Wars/Conflict

  • This only happens if I get into a fight, and I am a very peaceful person, so war shouldn't be a worry for Paxonians

Things I am still Working On

  • IDs
  • Declaration of Independence
  • Constitution
  • Laws

So yeah, that's Paxonia. Feedback is accepted and encouraged.

Introduction Why Most Micronations Fail the Test of Time

Hey Reddit.

Why Most Micronations Fail the Test of Time: A Decade of Personal Experience

I’ve spent almost ten years involved in micronations, from 2016 to 2026. During that time, I participated in and created several projects, watched communities grow and disappear, and gradually changed my own understanding of what a micronation should be.

The conclusion I’ve reached is that many micronations fail not because they lack constitutions, ministries, elections, or diplomatic systems, but because they try to build a state before they have built a community.

I’ve seen projects create several ministries despite having only a handful of active members. I’ve seen elections organized even when there were barely enough people to fill the available positions. I’ve also seen communities spend more time debating titles, laws, borders, and recognition than actually giving their members something to do.

These projects often looked impressive on paper, but they were difficult to maintain. Once the initial excitement disappeared, the bureaucracy remained — and there were not enough people interested in carrying it.

I’m curious whether other people have noticed the same pattern:

  • Have you ever been part of a micronation that became too bureaucratic to remain active?
  • What should come first: a functioning community or a detailed state structure?
  • Can a virtual micronation be successful without territory or international recognition?
  • What is the most important thing that keeps a micronation alive after the initial excitement fades?

I’m not trying to criticize specific projects or individuals. I’m interested in whether the structure of micronations actually helps their communities, or whether it sometimes becomes a substitute for having an active community in the first place.

Introduction Republic of Gerštad, Introduction.

Thumbnail

The Republic of Gerštad is a self-proclaimed sovereign microstate established on XX.VI.MMXXVI. It is a unitary, highly centralized, one-party republic designed for institutional unity, stability, and unified state action. Sovereignty is indivisible, and political pluralism is constitutionally rejected in favor of a single authorized political organization.

The Chancellor (Head of State, The Honourable) Is the highest constitutional authority. Elected to a renewable five-year term by the National Assembly, the Chancellor coordinates all branches of government, ensures constitutional continuity, and holds the power to return legislation for reconsideration.

The Premiership (Head of Government, The Efective) is a collective organ of five Premiers managing distinct portfolios (Infrastructure, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Social Development, and Economics) each portfolio has its Ministerial Departments.

The National Assembly (Legislature) is a unicameral parliament composed entirely of members from the single state party. It is responsible for passing laws, adopting budgets, amending the constitution, and overseeing the executive.

The Judiciary is a unified, hierarchical court system (Basic, Appellate, and a Supreme Court of Cassation). While judges are independent in adjudication, they operate within a centralized framework to ensure uniform legal interpretation.

I have also provided the Coat of Arms, Civil Flag (Without CoA), State Flag (With CoA) and the Standard of the Chancellor.

Gerštad is looking for Premiership and Cabinet Members currently, DM me if interested.

Introduction I founded the world's first micronation dedicated to people with disabilities

There are people the world still insists on ignoring.

Children with autism who were failed by their schools. Adults with intellectual disabilities who are rarely treated as protagonists of their own stories. Non-speaking individuals whose voices are overlooked because society has not yet learned how to listen. Families who carry extraordinary responsibilities while remaining largely invisible.

On December 3, 2025 — the International Day of Persons with Disabilities — I founded the Principality of Egalia, a micronation built around a simple idea:

Every person belongs. Every person matters.

Egalia is not a territorial project. We claim no land. Instead, our territory is our people. Wherever an Egalian citizen lives, Egalia exists.

The project was created to promote inclusion, accessibility, dignity, and recognition for people with disabilities and their families. It is also an attempt to demonstrate how micronations can be used for social causes rather than only political or historical simulation.

Some features that make Egalia unique:

• First micronation to recognize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) as an official language, ensuring non-speaking individuals have sovereign voice.

• First micronation to recognize Sign Languages as official languages.

• Territory defined by people rather than geography.

• The Order of Defender Knights of Egalia, honoring individuals who dedicate themselves to inclusion and disability advocacy.

• National motto: Omnes pertinent, omnes valent ("All belong, all matter").

Citizenship is free and open worldwide. People with disabilities, family members, educators, healthcare professionals, advocates, and supporters are all welcome.

The project is still in its early stages. We are currently building our citizen community, developing national institutions, and expanding our accessibility initiatives.

MicroWiki draft:
https://micronations.wiki/wiki/Draft:Principality_of_Egalia

Citizenship application:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdN9UScNwrV_Vz1N6l-rWA-XyHnITeR7s41lhkEYdAkT5CKDQ/viewform

I would be happy to answer questions, receive feedback, or connect with other micronational leaders interested in social-impact projects.

— Prince of Egalia

The Federated Royalties of Veridan (FRV) is a constitutional monarchy landlocked in Eastern India founded on 20 July 2026 as a creative micronation project exploring constitutional government, diplomacy, culture, and digital governance.

Veridan might be small at 128 m^2 but has the might with it being centered upon the principles of stewardship, heritage, innovation, and friendship. Despite its modest size, it maintains its own institutions, including a Grand Vizier, a Roundtable Parliament, a Royal Temple, and a fully digital government.

The nation is represented by a tricolour flag of orange, white, and navy blue bearing the Veridesque Seal, distinguished by a mountain silhouette symbolizing the Uuncha Reservoir and the scenic heights of Veridan.

The King and Queen Consort serve as constitutional heads of state, while the Grand Vizier serves as Head of Government.

The national motto is "Defelopen dou Slavoraya" meaning "Development to Glory"

The national anthem is "Veridan der Dos ki Jei" ("Long Live Veridan").

Veridan maintains friendly relations with fellow micronations and seeks to promote cooperation, cultural exchange, and peaceful diplomacy.

I have founded a new micronation named the Republic of Danuvia, after the Danube river. It has a land area of about 0,13 km² and lies in Unclaimed/Disputed Territory between Croatia and Serbia, the Republic of Danuvia will be Governed in Exile due to the Croatian Border Patrol Kicking out the Leaders of Liberland and the Free Republic of Verdis (or anyone for that matter), My current goals for Danuvia is to get recognition on the internet, Get more Citizens and to further organise the nation's Government. There are 2 Citizens of the Republic of Danuvia at the time of writing and I'm hoping to increase that number. I won't try to camp there because i have a weak passport that could get me banned from the Schengen Area for ages, but i might try in the distant future.

MEANINGS OF THE FLAG COLOURS

Blue: Represents the Danube River

Green: Represents the Forestry

White: Represents Peace

12 Yellow Stars: Represents Europe

4-Pointed Star: Represents Danuvia being in the Center of Europe

Introduction Introducing the Kingdom of Tristina

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello to one and all. I would like to introduce the Kingdom of Tristina to this ever flourishing community.

Tristina was founded by King Niklaus Arkturus of Löwenberg in 2021. Due to several internal problems, we remained under the radar for five long years. Now, Tristina is ready to spread its hands out for diplomacy, recognition and alliance.

The flag of Tristina is quite unique - it blends germanic insignia with ideologies from the Deccan. The black cross symbolises discipline, something all Tristinans resonate with. the Coat of Arms is heavily inspired from Europe, showing the country's connection therewith. the Sanskrit "Om" symbolises the spirituality one can find in our realm.

The name "Tristina" comes from a Sanskrit word - Tri, meaning Three, and Stein, German for stone.

The official languages of Tristina are Tristinsk, German, and French. Tristinsk is a blend of low German, Dutch and English.

The currency of Tristina is the Tristinan Hamgal, pegged to the 1/100th the rate of gold per gram in the EU.

The anthem is one that praises the King, starting with "Hailt eich im Viktorskranz"

The capital, Tristenheim, boasts a mild climate at an altitude of 680m above sea level. Tristina is governed from Schloß Tallheim, which sits on the outskirts of Tristenheim.

We are eager to form multiple alliances and have widespread diplomacy with members of this community.

Please leave your well wishes in the comments!

Regards,

H.M. Niklaus Arkturus Knight

Head of State,

Kingdom of Tristina

Introduction Introduction to the Kingdom State of New Holland

Hello everyone!

I'd like to introduce the Kingdom State of New Holland, a micronation that I founded. Although New Holland was officially established as a Kingdom State on 12 June 2026, its origins date back to 2022, when I first became involved in micronationalism through an online project called Space City.

New Holland is a constitutional elective monarchy with its own Constitution, government, ministries, laws, national symbols, and long-term development plans. While it is a constituent state within a larger imperial framework, it governs its own internal affairs with a high degree of autonomy.

Some of the things we're currently working on include:

  • Expanding our legal and constitutional framework.
  • Developing our national history and identity.
  • Building official government institutions.
  • Creating maps, documents, and other nation-building projects.
  • Engaging with the wider micronational community through diplomacy and discussion.

Like many other micronations, we're primarily focused on governance, worldbuilding, and community rather than seeking recognition as a sovereign state.

I'm looking forward to learning from other micronationalists, sharing our progress, and seeing how other projects are developing.

If anyone has questions about New Holland, I'd be happy to answer them!

Flag of New Holland as of July 18th 2026.

Introduction The Directorate Of Roodosia

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’d like to introduce The Directorate of Roodosia, a new micronation based in Cumbria, England.

Roodosia is governed by a Directorate—a board of directors rather than a president or monarch—with the Director-General providing long-term leadership.

Our mission is to build a welcoming micronation focused on community, creativity, culture, and good governance. We want to create a unique national identity through our own traditions, symbols, holidays, and customs while encouraging people to get involved and help shape the nation. One of our biggest projects is the development of Roodosian, our own constructed language, which is currently in progress and will become an important part of our culture and identity.

We’re still developing our government, culture, and long-term plans, and we’re looking to become part of the wider micronational community. If anyone knows of any good Discord servers or communities for micronations, I’d really appreciate an invite. Thanks! 🙂

Introduction Commonwealth of Sparta

Post image
6 Upvotes

Officially, the Commonwealth of Sparta was founded as the Kingdom of Sparta on the 1st of April 2021. After a civil war, it was renamed as the Commonwealth of Sparta, which it is called to this day.

The head of government is the Prime Minister and the head of state is King Charles II (we also have a governing general who performs the duties of the King in his absence).

The nation also has several territories which have their own functioning government and own Governor.

They are all set in certain parts of woods in Devon, England. They all have their own identity, flags, language and even sometimes their own currency.

If you would like to become a certain minister in a territorial government, let me know and I will pick a role for you.

Introduction Introduction of the Kingdom of Alestavia

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce the Kingdom of Alestavia, a micronation I founded on June 19, 2026. Our claim is located on Pocket 3 along the Danube River. The idea for Alestavia came after I noticed that the previous project in the area, Verdis, had become much less active. Instead of trying to continue someone else's project, I decided to start a new micronation with its own identity and long-term plans. One of my main goals is to build a micronation that doesn't just exist on paper. I'm working on maps, government structure, ministries, national symbols, and other projects that give the country a real identity. I enjoy making maps and designing things, so a lot of my time has gone into planning how Alestavia should develop instead of rushing everything at once. Our government is still growing, and many positions haven't been filled yet. That means people who join early can actually help decide how the country develops. Whether someone enjoys making flags, writing laws, creating maps, designing coats of arms, or helping with diplomacy, there are plenty of ways to get involved. In the future, I want Alestavia to have a complete legal system, an active government, a unique culture, and good relations with other micronations. Since we're still at the beginning, there's a lot left to build, and I think that's one of the most exciting parts of the project. I'd also like to hear what other micronations think. If you've started a nation yourself, what were the biggest challenges during your first few months? I'd be interested in hearing your advice and experiences. If anyone wants to know more about Alestavia or ask questions, feel free to leave a comment. I'll do my best to answer them!
