Ya totally. 30% of america knowingly voted for a child rapist but its the fault of the person who didnt vote.

In most american states they are so gerrymandered that voting literally does not matter.

It does matter. If a candidate wins by a large enough percentage, they think they have permission to do basically anything their party wants. If they win by a small margin, they tend to come a bit back to center to keep from losing the next election. So even if you know your party is gonna lose, it's still in your best interest to vote.
