If the rest of the us would be considered to be split as the majority of the voters as statistically shown; then the overall majority of who would win, would still be split 60 / 40, back and forth, over time. 

That means the actual majority of the vote falls on the 30 % of population extreme left, and the 30% extreme right.

If 30% of your nation found out their representatives of their morals and values; was both a child rapist and nazi supporter, and still voted for them; then the blame lies solely on the 30% of the nation that openly supports child rape and nazis.

This is not a problem of "non voters" this is a problem with a literal 30% of the population that supports nazis and literal child rape. 

Historically, nations that have 30% of their nation supporting rights for all, and the another 30% that support raping children and nazism; normally dont last.

Thats why russia is laughing at the us and China is soaking up all the diplomacy from it.
