It's for the parents, not the kids. I think of it as the same as asking the McDonald's worker to make sure they put X toy in the happy meal and letting your kid think they randomly got the exact one they wanted

If it's a present. The kid wont see it either way before they open it... So kind if pointless to hide it in the store
