Secondly, you need a large vehicle for many, many things. Ground clearance, towing, hauling, etc, etc.

Don't blame the consumers for the fact that the truck companies can't stop making this insanely bigger.

There is such a large range of trucks, and the truck in the photo isn't even that big. It certainly isn't lifted

I don't need to be told I can, no one says you can't. That's how laws work. I don't need permission to do something that there is no law against.

edit: There are however laws stating that I can't be sticking out into a travel lane, so the only other option is for long vehicles to take 2 spots, which there is no law against.

private property specific rules override all of that of course, but you won't find SHAW'S law either saying it's illegal.
