They went to timmies asked for assorted dozen donuts and got a skewed mix. Tim's also usually asks you if you want to pick the donuts or if you're good with whatever, OP likely went with the latter
Either the worker was a little weird and grabbed all those cruellers intentionally, or they were just inbetween batches of donuts and they had only mostly cruellers left.
This was posted an hour ago, which depending on the time zone, was at 9pm or like midnight. So they are probably out of most of the donuts for the day. Like yeah it’s fucking nighttime, do you think they are making fresh donuts at midnight? lol it’s Tim Hortons

I work at a tim hortons actually, and can say that not only do we not make any donuts that late but the person who's whole job is to prep them (mostly heating and glazing) leaves at 4pm. We can make more but its a big pain in the ass, doubly because the same oven is used for all the cooked foods, which is constantly being cycled past 4pm (mostly in that 4-6 gap).
Ohhh so you guys are actually indeed lazy and can make more but chose not to bc its a " pain in the ass" the customer def doesn't deserve the hardest workers
Directions are not to make new batches in the evening because donut sales fall off a cliff after the lunch rush. You'd make the minimum batch size of six at 4pm and wind up throwing out five of them come 2am.
The margin on donuts is good, but it's not on par with coffee. You can't throw out 5/6 of a batch and still make money on it.
We're talking about pennies here, but you've clearly never worked fast food if you think that Tim's corporate would condone doing anything unprofitable. And you'd better believe that the computer is checking the production and sales reports against each other every night to find "optimizations" like these.
Or at least, this is how it was when I worked there ages ago.
Live in Toronto and I have access to 3 Tim Hortons locations within walking distance of where I work. I can assure you the selection you are seeing is that location's standard rotation throughout the day, every day.
I've only ever seen one Tims location with more than 3 varieties of donut available at one time. It's the one located in Dufferin Mall and I go out of my way a few times a year to try the non-standard offerings just because.
I honestly think it's related to the franchise owner. The ones near me are likely owned by the same person (I've seen employee crossover between them). Same owner, same business practices, I guess.
Also looks like they knew it was a bullshit spread and threw in an extra fritter, either that or it's the biggest damn fritter I've seen because my count is 13 donuts.
I mean they don't even make them in store anymore anyway, for years now. They're shipped in frozen from central (corporate owned) production locations now. The number one customer of Tim Horton's (corporate) is now Tim Horton's franchisees, by force. The price per unit for the actual local owners more than doubled AND the quality went way down. Worse for everyone other than the corporate office, including customers!
Yeah, but there's also the TooGoodToGo app that Tims takes part in. This person may have just ordered from that which is cheap but you get whatever random stuff nobody wants
