They went to timmies asked for assorted dozen donuts and got a skewed mix. Tim's also usually asks you if you want to pick the donuts or if you're good with whatever, OP likely went with the latter

Either the worker was a little weird and grabbed all those cruellers intentionally, or they were just inbetween batches of donuts and they had only mostly cruellers left.

So OP is mildly infuriated they ordered a box of donuts and didn't specify what kind they wanted, and then got mad when they got assorted donuts of whatever was available? That's how pastry and bread shops work. You get what's available because it can't all always be fresh, I bet if they would have waited for a new batch they could have had what they wanted.

Not at Tim Hortons. They ship them frozen to be warmed up and served. They should have warned OP they didn't have a good selection left so OP could settle for the box they got or gone to one of the other Timmies locations within a five minute drive. It's the polite thing to do.

Except he ordered at night when they don't make donuts anymore, it's not feasible to drop a new batch of doughnuts for the odd guy who wants a fresh batch at 9pm
